Nicola Sturgeon has treated women with utter contempt.
She told us that our concerns about self ID and the GRR were Not Valid.
Women like me who have experienced sexual assault and sexual harassment since being a child were labelled transphobes and fascists for daring to express legitimate concerns about safeguarding for our daughters and women in general.
Sturgeon was a peer of mine at Glasgow University so somehow she has managed to be completely oblivious to the challenges of being a girl and a young woman growing up in the 1970s and 1980s.
Woman have fought long and hard for the rights we now have.
Rights that she seemed only too happy to throw away.
I could not care less about her sexuality but what is in the public interest is that she was married to the Chief Executive of the SNP, a situation which should never have been allowed while she was First Minister.
It looks like Peter Murrell will take the fall.
You have to be a certain kind of gullible though to believe that Sturgeon knew nothing about it.
She has been in a protected and privileged position of power for more or less her entire adult life.
She is a disgrace.
Oh, and by the way, I wouldn’t hesitate to tell her this face to face in a calm, civil way - you know, Sister to Sister - should I ever come across her lurking in the Crime section of an Edinburgh bookshop.
I suspect she couldn’t give a shit about how betrayed women like me feel.
