XL bully dogs and Scotland

Another blinder by our "wonderful" government. I was not aware that the ban on these awful chav beast dogs only applied in England and Wales. No legislation to ban/restrict them in Scotland.

Some dim woman who runs a "bullie rescue" says she has been "inundated". Isn't that just marvellous.

The Scots taking in XL Bullies as England cracks down

Five-month-old Buddy has just arrived after his owner in Liverpool decided to give him up.

Just heard on the news driving back from work that the "young woman" who owned the beast which mauled the collie in EK and had to be shot was a wee lassie of 18. I have an 18 year and I wouldn't put her in charge of a goldfish.

Only concerned that the XL bully might end up in the wrong hands and get shot. Once again no concern for the people or pets that might be or were attacked.

It's a myopic, Pit-centric view these pitnutters have.
Zero regard for innocent children , adults or dogs injured or killed by their mutants, just endless whining self ''Pitty'' {No pun intended}

The woman even acknowledges the type's danger as she fears more will be shot..

If they were stable, decent dog types, there would be no fear of this- these are man made mutants, very unstable {Even uk's chief vet says they are a risk due to temperament and bite style and size..plus they attract the feckless owners..

'Rescue' owner's quote:

The thought of them getting shot or something similar is just frightening and heartbreaking and unfortunately this is a real possibility for a lot of dogs - they’re not getting a second chance because they are a bully.''

CoatOfArms · 20/02/2024 11:27

What nonsense : "The 38-year-old - who has been trolled over plans to rehome soon-to-be banned XL Bullies at a controversial Angus facility"

She hasn't been "trolled". She has been rightly criticised over what she is doing, her motives, and the animals that she is advocating for. That is not "trolling".

Hope that facility is safe with high secure solid fencing and “double “ gates to prevent these mutants escaping into the surrounding countryside, mauling sheep and cattle.

BigBoysDontCry · 20/02/2024 12:21

I wonder how close her rescue facility is to the governor of gaza's house?

BigBoysDontCry · 20/02/2024 17:38

It just gets worse. An emotional support dog... 😡

CoatOfArms · 20/02/2024 18:16

Doesn't surprise me to be honest. It's not much of a leap from bestest boy, wouldn't hurt a fly, big daft/soft lump to then thinking it's just the sort of "support animal" for a child.

Also obviously proper support dogs go through extensive training and are assessed for their temperament and suitability before even starting training. The previous owner of this beast needs prosecuting as well as the current silly wee lass who thought it was an ideal pet.

oakleaffy · 21/02/2024 01:42

@BigBoysDontCry@CoatOfArms It's ludicrous having a dog that leaps and ''Jumps'' and ''Knocks you off your feet'' and is dog and human aggressive as an ''Emotional support dog''

Genuine Pets as Therapy dogs absolutely must not jump up at anyone, and have to be of a very calm temperament - and are assessed as to their suitability.

CoatOfArms · 21/02/2024 07:34

Agree. But "emotional support dog" is a meaningless term, anyone can buy a vest off Ebay and say their dog of whichever breed is a support dog.

BigBoysDontCry · 21/02/2024 14:54

Meanwhile in things that never happened.

The XL fantasists are out in force.
If that had happened, why did police {who all wear body cams} clear the area and count to ten before taking six shots to kill the crazy dog.

The police body cams will without a doubt show what happened.

This dog has 'form' for attacking dogs, especially males, and is so say the ''Strongest'' XLPit the seller of it has owned.

Edit...a 14 yr old Collie {probably blinded with cataracts, deaf and few teeth } will be aware of his own vulnerability - old dogs are very peaceable, and this geriatric collie met with a young, dog aggressive fighting breed... These Pit nutters will try anything to warp the truth.

Yep. That story has more holes than a tramps vest.

SomeCatFromJapan · 21/02/2024 19:04

@oakleaffy bloody hell the picture of that injury! That's so far beyond what even a bad "normal" dog bite looks like.

More like what one would expect to see from a 🦈 shark, according to surgeons who have to try and suture up these slicing wounds.

Surgeons do speak out about Pit Bull / Bully types precisely because of the terrible damage done by bite style.

The strong young XL breeder in Compton USA has been partially consumed by the animals he bred- Unusually for USA they were all euthanised ( 13 adults and large “ Puppies”)

ArabellaScott · 21/02/2024 20:36

That poor wee child. I hope she recovers fully. That's a horrific wound.

Againstbsl24 · 22/02/2024 19:12

oakleaffy · 07/02/2024 12:39

This is very true.
People definitely aren't aware of how much a dog's instincts and drives are innate.

Fighting breeds don't give warning before 'striking'..it's bam! literally like flicking a switch.

Time after time a family whose children are severely mauled or worse say ''But we raised them from puppies!''

These dogs were so say ''Pets'' had been kept for eight years without incident.

The attack lasted over ten minutes according to the news.

Absolute rubbish. Bred to fight other dogs, not people! They can be dog aggressive if not socialised because of their breeding but not people aggressive. Just like foxhounds and deerhound were bred to hunt and kill, doesn’t make them more aggressive to people. My DH drove all the way to England today to collect an XL that was due to be euthanised, and bring her back to our home in the borders. You are welcome!

ArabellaScott · 22/02/2024 19:13

That's illegal

And another numpty. Hope you don't have children around this unknown, disorientated and abandoned chav-beast.

Right. Tell that to the families of the adults and children they've mauled to death.

Do you have children living at home?
