I caught the news agents and that leaked sturgeon zoom and it really shows the weakness of the snp’s (and modern politics) approach - right guys, think about how this LOOKS and be careful how this appears so we don’t scare the donor base.

Shelefttheweb · 19/04/2023 09:43

if I were a donor, I would be far more concerned about a party hiding it’s finances than one who had identified an error and was taking action to address it.

Rainbowshit · 19/04/2023 09:58

You'd be off your rocker to donate money to any the SNP now.

Not just the SNP though, there has been financial misappropriation in several of the other Yes movement hangers on. AUOB and women for Indy too.

There's risk of it in all organisations obviously, but the Scottish exceptionalism attitude was that they were less corrupt, morally superior and likely led to people wheeshting and being unable to speak up.

When at the end of the day they are just humans like everyone else. And humans are greedy and power corrupts.

That Natalie one was back in court yesterday for something or other, fighting her conviction for stealing £195k.

Weren’t the big lottery winners donors to the fund? The wiers?

Mr weir is now deceased; but could his estate pursue any misgivings that let may have on his behalf?

BlueThursday · 19/04/2023 10:09

I think the weirs asked for some of their money back didn't they?

So interesting that article was written 2 years ago…it’s frustrating how long it is taking to come to any conclusion

BlueThursday · 19/04/2023 10:42

Very poor

A friend says there's rumours Sturgeon is being arrested today and 20 reporters outside her door? hasn't told me yet where they found the rumours

Given that Murrell and Beattie were both arrested first thing in the morning if/when she is I’d be amazed if it wasn’t the same.

Gives the whole day for questioning and makes it look nice and organised.

TokyoSushi · 19/04/2023 13:03

Yes I agree with the early morning thing, I'm basically going with if we don't know by about 8/9am then it's 'not today.'

I expect there's some hesitancy because it's such a big deal and they know it's going to cause all sorts of drama. I think it'll be a little while, maybe a week or so yet. Let's see!

Sugarfree23 · 19/04/2023 13:27

I think they'll spend time reviewing the information they got yesterday.

Do you think they'll arrest and press charges with all 3 of them?

slowquickstep · 19/04/2023 13:34

Pretty sure her arrest will be well away from the public eye, i hope it is not but i think it will be done behind closed doors.

Seeingadistance · 19/04/2023 13:51

Will there be someone in the background of the arrest, describing the event in British Sign Language?

Sugarfree23 · 19/04/2023 14:00

I'm not sure how you arrest someone behind closed doors.

Are you thinking she might get a phone call - come to the local station so we can arrrest you??

And Janey Godley doing a "funny" voiceover on YouTube?

stealtheatingtunnocks · 19/04/2023 14:04

aupwrmarket is out of popcorn.

you lot have bought it all, haven’t you?

ThatsGenderwang · 19/04/2023 14:06

I've told DP we're down to a bag of salted peanuts.

Seeingadistance · 19/04/2023 14:10

I don't think the world's popcorn producers were in any way prepared for this sudden surge in demand!

TokyoSushi · 19/04/2023 14:19

Yes that might happen, she might be told to report to the station and be arrested there.

YetMoreNewBeginnings · 19/04/2023 14:32

I don’t think they’ll arrest her behind closed doors or ask her to come down to the station.

Given how it’s been done with the other two that would look like giving her favourable treatment.

I think Police Scotland will be treading a very careful line in making sure that they’re not seen as favouring NS.

Sugarfree23 · 19/04/2023 14:37

I think it will be the early chap at the door.
How can she sleep at night knowing that one morning your going to be arrested
