Not long to go now until the SNP leadership election results come out. Thought it might be interesting to see who everyone thinks it will be plus any predictions eg, how long they will last, new cabinet, any fresh drama waiting in the wings etc. I reckon it could be Kate Forbes, picking up 2nd votes from Ash Reagan, but then I wonder if those who would vote according to the gender issue will have already left the party.

I don't have a vote and can see problems with all of them btw so interested to hear others' views.

Incredible that someone who has failed at every single cabinet job they’ve had is now FM.

This. It shows just how awful the SNP is that they consider him the best person for the job.

Not surprised - that was close though - what do we think, Kate Forbes moves to Health 😂

NowThatsWhatICall22 · 27/03/2023 14:50

Not to worry, it won’t be long before Useless makes a spectacular gaffe. This is the beginning of the end for the SNP.

Kate Forbes moves to a different party, would be my prediction.

Bless you for thinking he’ll be governing the party! He’s just the mouthpiece - Sturgeon’s supporters and the other stalwarts are the ones governing from the back.

Well true, but he's not even a competent mouthpiece

I know Sad

Scotland really is fucked.

Beddfellows · 27/03/2023 15:06

If only those 30 percent hadn't left the party over the last 12 months. This is a real lesson - don't leave these failing parties! Looking at you too, Greens.

user567543 · 27/03/2023 15:18

I agree - it’s hard to keep paying membership dues to a party you feel doesn’t share your values though.

ISpyCobraKai · 27/03/2023 15:25

Not a surprise unfortunately.
Let's hope he fucks up sooner rather than later.

BigBoysDontCry · 27/03/2023 15:38

How stupid do the membership have to be to vote in a candidate with a worse approval rating amongst the GP than both Kate and Nicola? I appreciate a lot of that low rating will come from voters of other parties, but how is he going to unite the country and persuade us all to vote for independence when he is thicker than a submarine door?

Unfortunately it leaves the country held to ransom by the creepy greens.

Rejoice : this is short term pain for long term gain .

MarchMadness23 · 27/03/2023 15:50

FFS.

That's really going to help things.

NOT

Absolutely this.

ISpyCobraKai · 27/03/2023 16:16

Absolutely this.

What - just like Brexit, Theresa May, Boris Johnson, Liz Truss... Getting a bit fed up with being told that very bad news is actually good news.

annabelindajane · 27/03/2023 21:15

Leaving aside how utterly incompetent Humza is he is going to have to deal with a split party so lots of infighting , he’s going to pursue the GRR and make it even more inclusive whatever that means and it’s all going to be very unpopular with the public. All in all this will slowly destroy the SNP quicker than if it had been Kate .

Scottishskifun · 28/03/2023 12:51

I just hope he listens to legal advice on what is winnable in court and not waste money and doesn't send the country too far down the pan. But his track record is hardly glowing on that one!

BigBoysDontCry · 28/03/2023 13:38

Humza will be the new keeper of squirrels. Ready to release news about independence and challenges to WM any time there is a sniff of a negative story. He's going to be busy on that front.
