Having a temper tantrum and threatening to leave does not mean the uk is unsafe for trans people.

These arguments about seeking asylum in
canada really trivialise the issues that actual asylum seekers are trying to escape.

Using the murder of a young person to claim widespread persecution is similarly unpleasant as a rhetorical tactic.

If your friend fancies emigrating to Canada. Lovely. It’s not fleeing persecution any more than the families on wanted down under who think their lives will improve if they move to Australia.

We don’t know motivation for why that teen was stabbed. Andy Wood (16) was murdered the same day though he didn’t get on the front page of the BBC once let alone several days running. However, we do know that trans people are still the safest demographic in the UK and worldwide in terms of murder - this was the first murder/manslaughter in four years in the uk. There were about seven others who were murdered over the previous decade but none due to transphobia (for things like drug debts, one was murdered by another transwoman). There are more transwomen murderers than there are transwomen murdered in the uk - Scottish women’s prisons have three transwomen murderers alone, leaving the women locked up with them terrified. In contrast three women are murdered every week in the UK.

Again not true though is is trans women that are murderers are really not just kept with other women but sure try again. I would say the umpteen press articles agaisnt a small minority is disgusting . Considering the sheer volume of abuse, violence and hate many women receive ( quite a lot from TRAs), it's a wonder millions of women aren't leaving the UK as refugees for safer shores except, of course, if you're female there aren't really any perfectly safe havens anywhere.

Well as a woman I haven’t had any hate from TRAs but as a woman not trans I don’t have any issues with trans people. I would also ask has national action written to you they wrote to india and shola who’s a black lady not trans.
