Listening to sky news and there was a reporter from the Sunday herald giving many a ridiculous reason why people are pleased she's leaving, basically we're all haters and history will prove her to be right 🙄

Lots of interesting stuff coming up on Twitter regarding the content of Stewart McDonald’s leaked emails. Suggesting the weaponising of trans issues to silence and drive out certain SNP members, alongside the security concerns. So the GRR debacle, plus accusations of financial irregularities, plus these, if it is true… no wonder she’s off!

My predictions for the next year - quiet split from her husband, wee job or three on the board of a NGO, University, "advisory body". Popping up now and then on a chat show. A memoir - out in time for Christmas.

She was an excellent leader. Expanded early learning and childcare to 30hours free and £25 per child a week Scottish Child payment. Free Student tuition for Scot’s to go to uni or higher education. Loads more but these are what matters to me. I think she will be a hard act to follow.

I think she has resigned due to the potential for war between Nato & Russia. Could be wrong but things are ramping up and Scotland is a base for the nuclear sub.

I agree with your first paragraph. She's done so much for the lower paid and tried hard to bridge the attainment gap and its improved mine and my DC's life. Things are tough just now but the grass very likely isn't greener.

Second paragraph I'm not sure. I do feel the trans thing didn't go the way she wanted and it's one thing I tho I she got wrong

It'll be that well known economist Katie Forbes...good on Nicola for stepping down at a time of her choosing though. Politics is draining and brutal indeed - I don't like her as a politician but as a human being you do have to call time don't you, and good on her for that.
