Edinburgh lovely restaurants

Looking for a fancy restaurant in Edinburgh with good service/food for me and dh. We are staying in the Scotsman in early February.

We ate at Smoke Stack before Christmas. Wasn’t exactly “fancy” but the service was good and the steaks were unreal

We were at Contini at the weekend, it was lovely

Just had a look at the witchery it looks stunning but we are too fussy for the menu. I like steak so will check out smoke stack. I am so excited it will be the first time me and dh have had a night out or been dc free since 2019.

The Dome

Devils Advocate. Its our very favourite. Lovely cosy atmosphere and the food and drink are always excellent!!

Wisharts in Leith is lovely

We like Wedgewood on the high st

A little further out but prestonfield.

Six by Nico in town

Noto. Really enjoyed a meal there last year.

Bon Vivant is nice.

Another vote for Wedgewood. If you like steak the Mussel and Steak Inn is very good value

It's completely surreal to imagine we will be dressing up and eating without children. Looking forward to savouring every moment of our time at this venue.

Angels with bagpipes on the royal Mile, food is gorgeous!

For a fabulous steak dinner I'd recommend the Chop House - there are three in Edinburgh and the lunch menu is great value, although the steaks can be pricey

The Dome is an excellent choice. I love going there.

Chez joules is lovely! We had our anniversary meal there x
