Yes! He's absolutely gorgeous, my active previous dog slowed down a lot by age 8 and meanwhile we can do with the exercise! Without a dog none of us would ever leave the house in winter or any day we can argue the weather looks a tiny bit iffy.

He's been no trouble so far!

I'm glad to hear you had one that wasn't too active wouldbegood

WouldBeGood · 14/11/2021 17:04

Oooh, I’m so jealous. She was the most gentle and gorgeous dog. I’m sure you’ll have loads of fun and cuddles - she also though of herself as a lapdog 🤣

That's so cute - I'm hoping for similar with this one wouldbegood a fan to get me through the teenage years with the kids!

StarryEyeSurprise · 14/11/2021 18:18

That made me laugh. Yes, at least someone will be happy to see you come through the door!

mapleleavesreturn · 14/11/2021 18:49

The welcome home is a key factor starry Grin

Lockdownbear · 15/11/2021 06:46

@mapleleavesreturn

I had to chuckle at someone in the mafia being cited as evidence when talking about uk govt corruption.

In general though, not railing much as have bitten the bullet and gotten a puppy who is biting and chewing everything and cheering us all up with adorable-ness.

Are you going to share the adorable-ness?
WouldBeGood · 15/11/2021 13:01

Aaaargh! Railing against NHS inform. Decided I’d just bite the bullet, stop railing, and get the fucking booster/flu jag.

It’s impossible! Told me details wrong, triedto reset password but took ages to come through then told me link expired. And now they’ve chucked me out 🤣

WouldBeGood · 15/11/2021 13:02

Oh, then rang the helpline but it’s not taking calls as too busy.

The SG is clearly trying to ensure my demise, through blood pressure if not Covid

Justmuddlingalong · 15/11/2021 13:20

The website was running slower than treacle, but despite me having no hope that it'd work, I've only gone and got my booster/flu appointment for tomorrow.

WouldBeGood · 15/11/2021 13:25

See, it’s me, they’re trying to kill me!

Been holding for half an hour to speak to someone, we are in Helensburgh, part of NHS Highland, absolute shambles here, we are due our booster, GPs no longer allowed to do them, can't register online.

Scottishskifun · 15/11/2021 14:00

Aw lovely puppy news!
Sorry DS became unwell yesterday temp over 40! Today looks like hfm coming out but can't see a Dr without a test despite him having covid already and having zero symptoms when he did! 🙄

I managed to get through this morning might be worth a try either late afternoon or early morning.
Got a booster for Wed but I'm only 4 months since 2nd dose which I did point out on the phone...... So will see what happens!
Wasn't on the original list due to my age but my risk factors now make it possible.... Although GP didn't select anything so was done just by calling up and the operator selecting it 🤷‍♂️

runningpink · 15/11/2021 15:07

I’m railing that I’m at the dentist for a filling.
Door is locked so you can’t enter. Have to call or ring bell to say you are here and wait outdoors.

I prefer being outdoors so I don’t need to put mask on until last minute but I wouldn’t be very happy if it was cold/raining and not fair on elderly folk.

They are currently 6 mins late. Wonder how long it will be. Bloody drives me nuts that they are never in time.

Yet we can sit in a restaurant, pub, dance in a nightclub, go to events etc. it’s bonkers

Coquohvan · 15/11/2021 17:14

@WouldBeGood on your page in NHS inform, does it say you have an upcoming appointment?
Reason I ask, I checked mine randomly one day and there was an appointment listed for my booster and I hadn’t received a letter or any warning.
I rescheduled as we’re away. Got DH to check and his was the same.
Probable go back to letters in the mail box.
Urgh.

WouldBeGood · 15/11/2021 17:16

I can’t get into it @Coquohvan. And can’t reset password as they’ve kicked me out. Been on hold half an hour now

ecceromani · 15/11/2021 17:32

You must be 24 weeks since last dose to get the booster.
Know couple people who've had their blue envelope.
The letter says if you're not 24 weeks you'll just get flu shot and get given another appointment.

WouldBeGood · 15/11/2021 17:43

I need to get into my account though!

It’s saying on nhs Lanarkshire that over 50s should book.

pretty hard to dwell for long with this puppy following you about - good decision. Bitey mad half hours notwithstanding!

That's obviously just down to the individual dentist too, @runningpink, as I had an appointment for me and the DCs a month or so ago and we waited in the waiting room, with various folk in and out, no bother.

This is what confused me I will be 18 weeks but she still booked me in when she could see my last jab info..... 🤷‍♂️

I think I'm just going to go along and see as it's bonkers to me someone on the vaccination line allowed it to book.....

Scottishskifun · 15/11/2021 20:34

So gorgeous!

titsintiers · 15/11/2021 20:44
