Okay I've just read the bbc article. FML, seriously. Shitty, divisive, nasty, pointless policy. But as Dear Leader was happily retweeting Ardern today I suppose I can't be too surprised.

My mum told me today I would just have to put a mask on and get on with it as I was moaning that I can’t go and look at flooring I need in the house etc.
I was like oh yeah I will do that and pass out from panicking after 10 mins. She doesn’t get it at all 😢

We took our paper ones, we are a group of 8 in total but none of us were asked I think it's just spot checks.

Are you better with paper or app?

I have ignored everything about the passports as had no intention of going anywhere that needed them.

Thing about the vaccine passports. As far as I'm aware most people have had their vaccinations, as far as I'm aware there's not vast swathes of refusers, Covid spreads because it's a virus designed to spread. So what's the point of them ? Same with half arsed fabric mask wearing- it clearly didn't do much to stop the high numbers a few months ago, so until Covid works it's way through the population, it's not going to do much now.

However it does differentiate the SG from EG which feels like the real reason if new measures are brought in.

The SG are gaslighting manipulators with their 'preventing another lockdown'. They can prevent another lockdown easily by just not ordering one. Nobody will comply anyway. Cases in Glasgow have consistently been the lowest they've been for ages.

Eeeuuch.

And while I'm ranting, the government marketing dept media is no better with their scaremongering. A traumatised nurse is now saying how stressed she was at her work. Which is obviously deeply regrettable, but there's plenty of other extremely stressed workers too.

Being ramped up and threatened ahead of booster (read: 3rd vaccine) to make that included on the vacc passport.

It really is the nastiest of coercion tactics. So many people-who are still afraid- will sleepwalk into these next stages.

@mibbelucieachwell couldn't agree more they have known about the spread of alpha and delta in poor ventilated environments for many many months! It's in guidance and even on sodding adverts all summer!

Swinney’s more restrictions one

It unfortunately hasn't stopped Wales extending passports to cinemas, theatres and concerts tonight though.

The bonkers thing is that England is showing its now levelling off and reducing, I honestly don't mind restrictions if there is decent evidence behind it but it seems to be to force people into vaccinations!

Its personal choice (if non medical) not to get it! I mean I think it's playing Russian roulette with your health but that's their choice!

I know many parts of Europe have installed this but I do find it sad on a societal level that we are trying to force people like this.

I honestly didn't mind them for travel and they vaguely were acceptable to me for large events. But excluding people like this rather than trying to understand and address their concerns is a worrying trend especially for a govt who were so so so against them in the summer when proposed by a different government!

I don't know if you guys remember my saga but my update is that my consultant has now written a letter for me saying I shouldn't have the vaccine.

I'm to phone up a helpline to ask for my exemption and present this as evidence. However I've seen the official exemption criteria and I don't meet them because effectively no-one does.

So I'll be in the odd position where if I wish to visit the cinema or a cafe I will need to go AGAINST medical advice. Clearly I won't, I value my health foremost, but thats where we are in clown world.
