Our local sports centre that houses the (private) swimming pool has ditched the floor signs and one way system early, and the showers were even switched on after swimming!! They have never insisted we wait outside or stay out of the changing rooms to be fair, but the children learning are quite young so that would be distressing all round. In fact the owners have been quite vocal in their frustrations around the whole thing, especially being closed for so long and having to lay people off and use up their savings to try to save the business.
We also managed to just rock up at a restaurant this weekend and get a table easily without booking, AND their indoor soft play was open so (maskless) children were running about the aisles with reckless abandon, and it was great to see kids being kids. I'm hoping that a lot of businesses will relax as much as the rules allow because it makes it so much more welcoming. Personally, I'm extremely pissed off that Scotland now seems to be the outlier with the masks in hospitality thing (and don't even get me started on the shit show that is schools policy), and have to admit I'm taking a few more steps away from the table before the utterly pointless masking up on the way to the loo. Maybe over time people will gradually just 'forget' about that rule too.
