The SNP also hold the purse strings to the entire Scottish Government budget. Am I being foolish to think that this might be of concern, and to wonder why it is not front page news in the Scottish press?

😂😭😂😭

@MaMelon

Ahhh, but we now have Swinney in charge of our covid recovery so it’s all going to be dandy.
Ah, yes, the Swinneybot is in charge.

Awaits innovative solutions and a protect the NHS plan for the forthcoming winter to be available for public viewing sometime next spring.

WouldBeGood · 01/06/2021 16:13

Who’s looking forward to blended healthcare, where you must stay home and watch videos of treatment?

Babdoc · 01/06/2021 16:14

Makes you wonder what the SNP would actually have to do before their deluded supporters would finally ditch them? How much further do they need to sink?
They’ve already made a mess of education, policing, the economy, health, drug deaths, the ferries, the care homes scandal, agricultural subsidies, business decisions re Prestwick airport and the steel fiasco, throwing women’s rights under the bus to allow male rapists into women’s prisons and threatening to arrest women for “hate crime” for saying we don’t want penises in female changing rooms.
I suppose possible fraud, deception and lack of accountability are just par for the course with this vile party, whose only objective is to tear the UK apart.

MaMelon · 01/06/2021 16:17

Grin at the previous posts.

At least, it would be funny if it wasn’t so terrifying. The man is an utter buffoon.

WouldBeGood · 01/06/2021 16:17

It is weird. Most of the concern on Twitter is from ex snp Indy supporters, many of whom have contributed to the missing fund.

MaMelon · 01/06/2021 16:18

Cross posts Baabdoc. Your post isn’t funny at all, it’s absolutely spot on Sad

But y’know - independence...

From the person who votes Tory Hmm
MaMelon · 01/06/2021 17:02

Well I don’t vote Tory and I wonder!

Bytheloch · 01/06/2021 17:11

Yawn @forfucksakenett
Such a predictable response.
Wtf is it to do with the thread topic if pp did vote Tory? The thread is not about the tories, but as ever 🙄 Even you must concede it’s an overeach to blame Boris for the financial pickle of the SNP?

forfucksakenett · 01/06/2021 17:30

I'm not blaming Boris.

I'm chuckling at the ridiculousness of the PP point when they happily and proudly vote Tory.

WouldBeGood · 01/06/2021 18:04

It’s really not a chuckling matter.

Though lols are the second default position after Bad Tories.

What do you actually think about the missing money and the resignations?

RaspberryCoulis · 01/06/2021 18:10

They don't care, @WouldBeGood. Saint Nicola could do practically anything and they WOULD NOT CARE.

Because she is Saint Nicola, bringer of independence, and the only one who can deliver Scotland from the Toarie evil which is Boris, the devil incarnate. It's a fucking cult.

MaMelon · 01/06/2021 18:14

It’s more than a cult - an attack on Saint Nicola and the SNP is an on attack Scotland and their whole Scottish identity.

It’s fucking weird.

Elvesaremagic · 01/06/2021 18:19

Maybe the poster that listed the problems with the SNP doesn’t mind voting Tory as as bad as the Tories are they think the SNP are worse?

WouldBeGood · 01/06/2021 18:22

It’s actually allowed to vote Tory. But not to steal money. The two things are entirely unrelated in this context

Elvesaremagic · 01/06/2021 18:23

I certainly find the SNP much, much of a concern than the Tory party. Tory sleaze and corruption is on display, they don’t deny it. SNP are 10 x more feckless as a ruling party and just as corrupt but deny it. Why are so many people resigning? Where is Peter Murrell hiding? Where is the ring fenced £600k? What happened to the missing £2.7bn Covid money? It just so sinister.

ElephantOfRisk · 01/06/2021 19:09

Why does everything always have to be harked back to the Tories? The Tories haven't held any power in Scotland since 2007. The majority of what affects our day to day lives (education, health, policing etc) already sits in the power of Scottish government and there is the matter of more powers that they turned down in respect of benefits etc. SNP have been in power for 14 years and here we are, either in the same place or a worse place that we were when they came to power.

They are just sitting waiting for a bad news day to release the damning education report and Swinney won't need to be sacked since he is no longer in that position and new person can't be blamed cos, well, they are new....

The lack of the £600k is another reason to be delaying on indyref - that and the fact that there still isn't consistently enough support and funnily Brexit isn't the big issue that would bring all the votes to their door that they thought it would be.

But yeah, Boris... Hmm

Literally never seen anyone say that.

Because they are the realistic alternative. They are the only thing close to an opposition in Scotland and are likely to be in power in the UK for the foreseeable.

forfucksakenett · 01/06/2021 19:31

I think it's a situation that is unravelling in front of us so I will wait to see what the actual story is. At this point there is a lot of speculation and very few facts. It's certainly of interest.

ElephantOfRisk · 01/06/2021 19:45

Because they are the realistic alternative. They are the only thing close to an opposition in Scotland and are likely to be in power in the UK for the foreseeable.

Nonsense, there is far more likely to be a shift in the UK government before there is one in Scotland and the biggest impact on peoples' day to day lives is in the gift of the SNP and has been for 14 years.

No-one has any idea what a Tory rule in Scotland would look like and if fact, any shift from the SNP is likely to result in a coalition which is how the set up was expected to be. So no party other than the SNP would really have the same level of power.
