I’m not sure @GirlLovesWorld. I was just clinging to the positives.

DH got his first vaccine shift today. And got jagged.

The people there are using every drop by calling anyone they can get at the end of the day - they did the whole staff of the Co Op nearby to avoid it getting wasted a few days ago.

But quite a few no shows or ones to be rescheduled so quiet spots.

They are anticipating a big push from next week onwards.

Glad to hear your DH got jagged himself and is part of the efforts.

I'm also irrationally cheered by hearing things like this where people are being sensible and proactive about using vaccines which will otherwise go to waste. Great work!

GirlLovesWorld · 09/03/2021 19:24

That's good to know @Cismyfatarse

WouldBeGood · 09/03/2021 19:26

Me too @PoloMintPatty

It would be great if they could give calls to local schools or police stations at the end of the day, given this would not muck up the priority lists etc (coop staff or any shop staff definitely a good plan too!)

ICouldHaveCheckedFirst · 09/03/2021 19:41

It's great news that vaccines are not going to waste. The Co Op staff are as deserving a group as any other, especially as they are in contact with so many members of the public, so that gets a thumbs up from me!

Cismyfatarse · 09/03/2021 19:50

He said they did a few nursery staff, a policeman and a couple of firemen a few days ago. Basically, the GP has a list and then, if still some they call / look for volunteers. He is jagging closer to home on Sunday so we might even be able to scoop up a few.

@GirlLovesWorld

What do we know about dates for hospitality?

I just saw the St Andrews Old Course Hotel is opening on 17th May, but I'm not sure how they can know that?

I had an email from Crieff Hydro last week who said opening 19th April despite sturgeon saying it will be 26th.....
WouldBeGood · 09/03/2021 19:58

Oh my god, @Pootle40 I’m
Excited now!

I think the old course and gleneagles both completely closed for the (lost) season and so that opening date is more their own plan and by the looks of things they would probably be able to open sooner had they wished.

Did anyone take note what was said at the update about unpaid carers not registered being able to book an appointment from next Monday?

I know it’s going to be a online form asking about eligibility etc but I can’t find a link to the form at all or any details .
dancemom · 10/03/2021 08:26

I found a snippet about it on ScotGov, looks like Wales are already doing this actually

@GirlLovesWorld

I don't really get it *@WouldBeGood*

The next tweet shows there's been loads of unused vaccine. If we are in a position to use all the vaccine we have, that doesn't seem to be happening for some reason? Maybe hoarding for second doses?

@WouldBeGood Why are you believing and reposting tweets from a “journalist” at The Sun?

It’s a genuine question.

WouldBeGood · 10/03/2021 09:14

@pawsbaws because the journalist is actually pretty good at asking the questions we are interested in.

Are there proscribed newspapers? Approved ones? I follow loads of them, to get a broad picture of the world.

Are you suggesting the story is false?

fluffyugg · 10/03/2021 10:20

Just reading that the SG are saying the tiers could be brought in before end of April if numbers remain low...would be brilliant if there was some stuff open for the kids holidays!

GirlLovesWorld · 10/03/2021 12:20

That would be good fluffy :)

GirlLovesWorld · 10/03/2021 12:32

691 positive cases today! Shock

fluffyugg · 10/03/2021 12:40

😫 what's the positivity %?

GirlLovesWorld · 10/03/2021 12:45

Not sure just jumped in the car and heard that one thing

fluffyugg · 10/03/2021 12:45

3.1% do that's good 👍

fluffyugg · 10/03/2021 12:45

so

GirlLovesWorld · 10/03/2021 12:50

Oh so it's a test thing more than anything else. Phew!

Scottishskifun · 10/03/2021 13:02

Looks like tiers will be done on health boards...... Good for cities not for more rural areas
