As the conversation is interesting and the thread is nearly full. Does it matter if Sturgeon is guilty - do you know or care? www.mumsnet.com/Talk/scotsnet/4153007-Does-it-matter-if-Sturgeon-is-guilty-do-you-know-or-care

Wow

littlbrowndog · 03/03/2021 11:08

But the 3 men are corroborated

littlbrowndog · 03/03/2021 11:09

She is lost here now

Graffitiqueen · 03/03/2021 11:09

What did he ask?!

Dinnafashyersel · 03/03/2021 11:09

Daisy link to AF Neil via the Express upthread.

daisyfraser · 03/03/2021 11:10

Again with the Salmond behaviours - he apologised ergo he's guilty as

littlbrowndog · 03/03/2021 11:11

He’s asked her if what the 3 men are saying is untrue

vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 03/03/2021 11:11

Was Jackie Baillie the one who took Jo Swinson's seat off her?

sessell · 03/03/2021 11:11

Not sure why it's so important to protect the senior official. Surely that's nothing to do with FM. It wouldn't touch her and would be a disciplinary issue for the official. NS looks really bad on this point. The official who we all know was a subsequent complainant - maybe a pivotal one - must have some leverage to have NS put herself in this very perilous position. What's going on here?

NicholasTurgeon · 03/03/2021 11:12

@JudgeRindersMinder

Joining in the love for Jackie Bailey!

Whilst we’re at it, are we to believe that Sturgeon hasn’t had a haircut since December??🤔

Word on the street is that the FM cuts her own hair expertly with the manicure scissors. After all, it's not the first time she has had to do everyone else's job and managed it far better than they could have done themselves! Halo

There is a process for the leak of GDPR information in the SG which has not been followed, clearly.

LexMitior · 03/03/2021 11:13

Disclose disclose! This has not been dealt with deliberately

daisyfraser · 03/03/2021 11:13

what a pincer set-up - Sturgeon waffles away about nothing and Fabiani tells questioners to hurry up so they cannot complete their questioning properly.
people should be disgusted by this

LexMitior · 03/03/2021 11:15

Douglas Ross should have not dropped the VONC against Swinney until it was done - but disclosed the “key advice”. Well done Swinney for doing that one

TheShadowyFeminist · 03/03/2021 11:16

"Was Jackie Baillie the one who took Jo Swinson's seat off her?"

No, Bailey is an MSP, Jo Swindon lost her MP seat to the SNP.

ATieLikeRichardGere · 03/03/2021 11:16

Sessell are you able to expand on your point?

AlecTrevelyan006 · 03/03/2021 11:16

It’s not up to me to tell the committee how to it’s job

Translation - I am telling the committee how to do it’s job

daisyfraser · 03/03/2021 11:18

Alec - exactly.

I'm pretty sure Fraser insisted on asking his questions knowing they were going for a break. Not that he was forced to be quick.
TheShadowyFeminist · 03/03/2021 11:19

Overview of this 1st session - if Sturgeon was hoping her evidence/performance would disabuse the notion of a personal agenda in the handling of the Salmond complaints, she's failed miserably to convince that there is no personal grudge/feelings/animosity.

She's casting doubt on statements from very senior & professional people to defend her own staff, to the point of not even bothering to initiate an investigation into what could be cause for dismissal.

Overall, she probably thinks she's done well, but I'm not convinced by her at all. Not even a smidgeon.

daisyfraser · 03/03/2021 11:19

Jackie Baillie is Labour.

The Jo Swinson replacement by SNP has been extremely ill for months - brain tumour. In hospital for 6 months. There really should be a by-election.

Nipoleonthenoncommital · 03/03/2021 11:20

@daisyfraser

Just ask the Daily Record who gave them the story. And a quick deflection from the story about her the Record spiked in exchange for it. What was that story?
There has been a lot of speculation about that. If it's referring to what I think, the question not only would have gotten under her skin but undermines the set up at home.

😂

daisyfraser · 03/03/2021 11:20

Shadowy - certainly her smug wee mug at the end of the session would indicate she thinks she's done "amazin' "
That's what her sycophants will tell her

Why? The MP has now returned after recovering. I think MPs should have time off for ill health or maternity leave. It's not a problem.
