I'm only just catching up with all of this now.
Duncan Hamilton's statement has absolutely sunk a lot of what NS has thus far claimed in terms of her prior knowledge of events, and the meeting on 2nd April.
The legal advice is absolutely damning. Not only did they fail to concede the JR so they could reset the process & restart an investigation but they chose a path that resulted in a wrecking ball through their entire civil case.
I'm shocked it was this clear in the legal advice. I thought maybe there was room for interpretation & even a balance on prospects of success. But it's utterly damning.
All just before NS appears to give her side tomorrow. I just cannot imagine how she'll be able to emerge from this evidence session with any credibility. I might still be wrong, but today's revelations are damning.
I've not even touched on the LA & CA appearance today. I thought Jackie Baillie's Q on the CA being willing to hand over the decision report to the police without considering whether the complainants would be impacted was very revealing. He certainly danced around the answer to avoid saying what she had uncovered from just asking the Q.
Sooooo much to read through. I'll be back in a bit once that's done!
