That article 😳

The supercharged what now?! That man is a raving idiot and a fucking danger.

OldRailer · 17/02/2021 12:15

I avoid some of our local supermarkets.

StarryEyeSurprise · 17/02/2021 12:16

@OldRailer

Christ alive that's some post starry.😂
Sorry it was a bit big wasn't it. 🙈 I'll let you all get on in peace as I have a meeting at one. 😂
IsurviveonCoffeeandWinein2021 · 17/02/2021 12:16

Disagreeing with NS doesn't make me a Tory for christ sake. I hate that.

OldRailer · 17/02/2021 12:19

I am definitely going to go out and chat outdoors more though. The propaganda about not going out unless it's "really" for exercise is ridiculous, sadly I can't jog any longer and my exercise is now reduced to shuffling and having a laugh. 🤷

MaxNormal · 17/02/2021 12:19

I'm no Tory voter, I was a total Sturgeon/Indy/SNP fan.

I'm at the stage where I don't care how bad Johnson and the Tories are, I'm just grateful that they have back-benchers with libertarian tendencies intent in reining in the worst excesses.

And if someone had told me a year ago that I'd be turning into a raging libertarian in 2020 I'd have collapsed laughing.

OldRailer · 17/02/2021 12:20

Just plop it in there and leave em squabbling. I see what you did there!😂

icanboogieboogiewoogie · 17/02/2021 12:23

I love the idea of just having to sit with my coffee while the kids get on with it in soft play 'no, darling, mummy's not allowed to come over and play with you. You just get on with it'. Up there with table service in pubs as a positive of the pandemic.

AgentCooper · 17/02/2021 12:24

God, at least pubs were open for a bit! No soft play since March. The root of all evil indeed!

The guy who runs my local soft play has turned it into an East Asian food delivery business now. He hopes to reopen as a soft play when possible. Probably when my 3 year old is a grandfather and I’m in the cold cold ground.

jabbathebutt · 17/02/2021 12:42

STOP assuming everyone who is anti SNP / NS is a Tory!

Stop assuming that if we agree with something BJ is doing, it makes us a Tory.

I am personally politically homeless but definitely won't vote SNP.

blowinahoolie · 17/02/2021 12:44

"Just plop it in there and leave em squabbling. I see what you did there!😂"

OldRailer that is StarryEyeSurprise's MO, I think🤭

OldRailer · 17/02/2021 12:45

Busted!

TeenTraumaTrials · 17/02/2021 12:46

That's todays stats out. Another 1,121 cases (5.2%) - we just can't seem to get the cases down, even with lockdown and that worries me.

But on the positive side deaths in care homes have fallen by 62% in 3 weeks which is really strong evidence of the vaccine (one dose?) being effective.

I just about cried when I read JS article this morning. How badly are we failing our kids if we are talking about indefinite blended learning?

StarryEyeSurprise · 17/02/2021 12:51

I didn't say you are Tory voters @Max and @IsurviveonCoffeeandWinein2021

jabbathebutt · 17/02/2021 12:55

I wonder if JS will be forced into another UTurn, or say he was misunderstood?

However, I can't see how a full return to school, university or work can be done with social distancing. Unless we all wear masks Sad or we all get vaccinated (won't happen for both jags before next winter)

NS saying if you are in contact with someone who tested positive you should self isolate and also get tested. I thought that was already what we had to do? Confused

rookiemere · 17/02/2021 12:56

@A

rookiemere · 17/02/2021 12:57

Oops that was a bit cryptic I meant to let @Aurea know that my Koha solid shampoo had arrived and it smells very nice.

Bad news on the numbers, I thought the last two days heralded a proper downwards trajectory, hope it's just a blip for today.

OldRailer · 17/02/2021 12:59

No but it's useful to get people derailed into justifying themselves.

rookiemere · 17/02/2021 13:10

@jabbathebutt I think the getting tested if you've come into contact with a positive person is a new thing, before you had to have symptoms. Either means there's a bit more capacity in testing system now ( good news) or perhaps they are worried about super spready new variant (bad news).

Aurea · 17/02/2021 13:12

ROOKIEMERE

I hope you like the Koha shampoo bar. I find it gives better results doing a prewash first although I don't usually wash my hair everyday and also use a conditioner. You really don't need too much as it lathers up nicely.

Make sure you let it dry out between uses otherwise it may go mushy. I use a plastic soap dish (like the one below) with an inner tray for drainage and a lid which is great for travelling (wouldn't travelling be nice).

Let me know what you thinkSmile

anon444877 · 17/02/2021 13:21

I agree with maxnormal we've seen a real comfort with being authoritarian with scotgov, and I'm glad that we've got dissenting libertarian tories and I never thought I'd write that either.

rookie probably has a point that Boris is over eager to give people their freedoms back but on the whole I much prefer it that way.

Lockdownbear · 17/02/2021 13:36

Boris might be over keen to get things open. But one thing is for sure BJ isn't going to be happy for Scots to be sitting at home on furlough while their English counterparts are out working. Just because Nicola says she wants to go one better.

MaxNormal · 17/02/2021 14:03

Lockdownbear that's it isn't it. Once furlough stops it stops, there won't be extra funding for Scotland. And keeping things shut without furlough will be far from a popular move.

Lockdownbear · 17/02/2021 14:07

I really can't see furlough getting extended either. Is it the end or beginning of April that it ends?

When did they want over 50s vaccinated beginning or end of May?

I'm thinking furlough ends at the same time as over 50s are vaccinated. Shock.
Another lesson in reading between the lines.

MaxNormal · 17/02/2021 14:16

I wouldn't be totally surprised if there was one more extension, given the cautiousness of the road map, or at least what is leaked, for instance suggesting July only for hospitality, but after that, all going non-disastrously, that'll be that.
