They're offering to over 35s in Israel already and even opening it up to 16-18 year olds. Amazing!

Coquohvan · 01/02/2021 19:25

Sorry the sun but .......

I can't bring myself to click on that @Coquohvan, what's the gist?

NotAnActualSheep · 01/02/2021 19:34

@fluffyugg

Just reading that infection rates and illness from covid has fallen quite dramatically in Israel as a result of vaccinations, this is good news Smile
Oh wow! I really hope so! That is great news.
WaxOnFeckOff · 01/02/2021 19:36

DH laughing away as someone in the EU has posted an "apology" about the Irish border fiasco saying that it was a mistake and only the Pope is above making mistakes.....He talked about the Pope when talking about an issue regarding the Irish border and thought that was making an apology...

Even UK is starting to show quite big falls over 7 day average.

coronavirus.data.gov.uk/

Cases, hospitalisations, people in hospital and deaths (this is in the face of further ramp up in testing in England so likely even more significant)

NotAnActualSheep · 01/02/2021 19:46

@IncludeWomenInTheSequel

Wow a logo *@NotAnActualSheep* Grin

I remember sitting in the Union reading their manifesto haha!

They do strike me as the ultimate student political party! I'd totally have voted for them when I first came up to Scotland in 2006 as an ideological (late)20something, if it hadn't been for the independence thing. I went for the greens instead (when they were Robin Harper). So that went well.
icanboogieboogiewoogie · 01/02/2021 19:46

@IncludeWomenInTheSequel I could have written your post.

Coquohvan · 01/02/2021 19:55

@titsbumfannythelot basically decrying UVL rapid action on Art16 on Friday with a funny pic.

titsbumfannythelot · 01/02/2021 20:07

I see.

Ever feel like we're living through a very poor man's Truman show? It just gets weirder by the day.

Dinnafashyersel · 01/02/2021 20:15

Jean Claude Juncker has weighed in to criticise UVL on vaccine export controls and lack of prioritising contribution to Global effort. Also critical of the haste to sign no strings attached trade agreements with China. His criticisms were noticeably more direct than anything coming from any UK politicians.

Yep wax it is incredible how little people in the wider World, even England ime understand the sensitivities.

Cismyfatarse · 01/02/2021 20:24

Why is NS managing to get away with such a poor rollout of vaccines. England are vaccinating 14 people to our 10.

That is going to cost lives.

It makes me so cross that it just seems to be being ignored as if it is not important.

LetItGoGo · 01/02/2021 20:27

I keep hoping there will be a surge.

I do not understand why people are not more pissed off about this

I posted about it on Facebook, a link to an article. Got told not to believe propaganda Hmm

yep because the absolute facts of the stats are just propaganda. Hmm I'm still waiting on the reason that care homes take longer than over 80s in the community.

shouldistop · 01/02/2021 20:45

I know @WaxOnFeckOff as if I'm completely thick. I got the same attitude from certain 'yes' voters in 2014, if I didn't support independence then clearly I was just believing lies by 'project fear' and hadn't researched enough. Or perhaps I'd read plenty and still disagreed Confused

Coquohvan · 01/02/2021 20:45

@Would our stats are terrible, NS warbles on about on track that’s great however the original target was 1M lowered to 500K knowing she’d meet and possibly exceed it. No change of doing 1M. Imagine if she kept 1M target and only got half.

shouldistop · 01/02/2021 20:46

Yeah I'm not sure I understand that either, I mean they're all in one place. Surely it should have been quicker than making separate appointments for individuals at a doctors office?

NotAnActualSheep · 01/02/2021 20:51

Yes. "Because it's Sunday" was a new low. It's not so much Sunday that matters... It's the 6 other days. I've got my fingers crossed that tomorrow there is a bit of a bump because of the big centres starting today. But still, we are now February, and we've had the vaccines since, what, mid December? If there was an issue with supply or delivery or something I'm sure we'd be told, or at least hinted at. But we get "oh yes, well it is the weekend you know". Because no one gets ill at the weekend or needs any kind of health provision.

Tomorrowisanewday · 01/02/2021 20:53

shouldistop - me too. Because obviously I only have a handful of brain cells.........

Coquohvan · 01/02/2021 21:19

First vaccine given on 7/12 8 weeks ago today. Makes the daily rate shocking.

WaxOnFeckOff · 01/02/2021 21:21

As I say, if they said (for decent reasons) that 25k was really all we can cope with, then we just have to deal with that. it's the fact we've been told for weeks that we are just getting going and numbers will be leaping ahead when they clearly aren't and haven't.

OP posts:
WouldBeGood · 01/02/2021 21:28

They’d be better off concentrating on that rather than the infighting. It does not reflect well on them.

It’s also really annoying when England are doing so well. We’d should just have got them to organise it UK wide as it’s the only thing they’ve not fucked up.

Tomorrowisanewday · 01/02/2021 21:34

Someone i know volunteered after retiring in October 2020 from a career entirely frontline in the NHS. 3 different inductions, first two she turned up and staff had no knowledge of her coming. Not a mistaken appointment, the same 12 people turned up each time. Still hasn't got a rota through
