I've name changed for this.
Had a wee look over on that page tonight as I have a ( possible ex) friend who's really active there and shares things all the time.
There is a post on tonight where people are actively threatening to take on the police as they have " weapons to match them ". I get we are all scunnered but I'm really worried by it. It has nothing to do with keeping schools open or protecting children!

Wow I think these guys picked the wrong website title. Should be ThemforMEEE! Those poor kids being dragged to school and made to feel miserable for a silly photo op.

DiscoNapper · 05/01/2021 23:40

They've also started a questionnaire to gauge thoughts on the online learning that has been sent from schools.

If teachers are given the option to deliver live/recorded lessons who is going to want to do that now? With the fear of your video being slaughtered on their page?

Outsidemum1 · 07/01/2021 12:18

Anyone know who this person is? We don't use Glow and a lot of schools don't.

Us for Them
Lidlfix · 07/01/2021 12:25

Shared by my favourite corrupt Conservative Councillor who gets caught out telling outright lies. As you say many schools have never touched Glow so it's an irrelevant number. But let the scaremongering proceed without any fact checking. I will report,

Bloodypunkrockers · 07/01/2021 14:19

Amused to see the parent of the year's latest video

Apparently the police were called yesterday so she's "broadcasting" from outside the school

Poor children

Groovee · 07/01/2021 15:49

Yet on they who shall not be named, they think glow is clunky.

Gawd all these admin who are teachers jumping on other teachers are just horrible. It will be why my head has banned all talk about they who shall not be named 😂

Outsidemum1 · 07/01/2021 16:22

Surely they're not really teachers though? The mind boggles. I'm sure I wrote a comment on here before about the teacher who ALWAYS puts a small i on its own.. hmm.

Goingdooolally · 07/01/2021 23:13

I’m sure that prolific poster who claims to be a primary teacher is nothing of the sort. She’s practically illiterate and has a very similar posting style to an old poster from a few months back who has stopped posting 🤔 Lots of strange things going on.

FluffySocks75 · 08/01/2021 09:32

They are being absolutely ridiculous. That got proven when even when schools were open fairly normally they were demanding no mitigations other than "PROTECT THE VULNERABLE " not sure they get the multigenerational living, interconnected lives thing but ya know.

Some of the things they have posted have been utterly vile and in would be ashamed to be a member of that group

I totally agree. I very much doubt she is a teacher as she doesn't seem capable of stringing a coherent sentence together. If she is a teacher, heaven help the kids she teaches.

The "I'll take my kids to school even if it's closed" stuff doesn't seem to be gaining any momentum in spite of loads of them agreeing it was a marvellous idea and they'd be doing it too.

I wonder if their march with kids in tow from Holyrood to Bute House will be going ahead Hmm

The last one I saw from her was criticising her own school's online provision, which would be a fast track way to a disciplinary if you were a real teacher

I bet admin knows she’s not a real teacher. They are so murky Angry
Outsidemum1 · 08/01/2021 14:46

Saw that and noticed the lack of punctuation. No new learning? That's rubbish. It's sad as it will worry parents needlessly.

Groovee · 08/01/2021 15:47

My Dd is doing primary teaching. She said that prolific claims to be a teacher is awful too. She actually believes she might her auntie on a troll account as she spells and punctuates exactly like that 😂

Outsidemum1 · 08/01/2021 16:14

Oh my. Awkward 🙈

gotyerhat · 08/01/2021 19:29

One of the ones who claims to be a teacher (is she fuck) is all over the EIS Facebook page too, spouting her Us For Them shite Hmm

DollyMixtureLulus · 08/01/2021 19:48

You can search the GTCS register online.... just saying....

This person will claim she uses a different name. Hence the fake profile on fb.
Dogscatsandsparrows · 08/01/2021 22:10

Yup @DollyMixtureLulus I discovered that one day during a supporter meeting with my probation and lost far too long that evening seeing how many folk who went to college with me are still teaching 😁

Bloodypunkrockers · 08/01/2021 23:11

Is that the pregnant one?
Lidlfix · 09/01/2021 16:30

It has started already. Some poor hard working soul's detailed plans shared and ridiculed. Must have taken days and provided to parents in advance to help.

EIS seeking legal advice on how to proceed against the group. In the meantime if you are on FB please report the post for intellectual property. Angry

Groovee · 09/01/2021 17:36

Someone said on that p2/3 post that it had been taken from CfE. Dd read it and was like "if that person had any teacher training they would know what it actually means." She thinks the teacher has done lots of hard work.

Goingdooolally · 09/01/2021 17:38

They are a dangerous echo chamber. Awful people.

Lidlfix · 09/01/2021 18:08

I agree with your DD Groovee. I am not primary but had to do a primary placement as part of my teacher training and have had an advisory role with Education Scotland (don't hold it against me) for assessing writing. Although my involvement was 4th level the events were mixed at some points. I have had to look at planning, process, evidence, assessment and feedback for all levels and by God do primary teachers put in a shift with their planning. To see that teacher's efforts being mocked and critiqued sickens me.

ItsIgginningtolookalotlikeXmas · 09/01/2021 18:17

The work posted that was being slagged off looked perfectly reasonable to me - yes, you'd have to do it with them, but this was for a primary 2 ffs! Bit of time on that, bit of watching bbc primary Bitesize. Job done.
