Me too, in a heartbeat

StatisticallyChallenged · 30/11/2020 21:18

Can the grown ups take over now please ? 🤪

NotAnActualSheep · 01/12/2020 12:03

Ha, yes I'd take Day 44 too, with pleasure. Even if he does his Speech again.

Day 45 A happy family sit down to watch the Scottish Christmas Day TV offering - a documentary on hand washing through the ages, a quiz show on the current* covid restrictions, and Jackie Bird showing us how to manufacture a Christmas themed face mask.

Tbh if Gordon Brown believed in Scottish independence I'd think it might be viable. Much love for competent labour politicians.

Day 45, having seen the festive tv offering tits decides to take up crochet

@titsbumfannythelot dear god!

NotAnActualSheep · 01/12/2020 17:27

God, that's even worse than my suggestion! Real life exceeds even fantasy levels of shitness once again...

anon444877 · 01/12/2020 18:07

Is that a recycling of last year's Gavin and Stacey special? Wow. Desperate times

titsbumfannythelot · 01/12/2020 18:33

Yes. I can't abide that Miranda either.

LizzieMacQueen · 01/12/2020 18:46

God that is dire. Just as well so many of us have streamed tv now.

Personally I'd prefer wall to wall 'two doors down'.

anon444877 · 01/12/2020 19:28

I love two doors down - looked it up and glad to see a 5th season is due out next year. Definitely time for series 1-4 to be re-watched.

WaxOnFeckOff · 01/12/2020 19:33

I've never fancied two doors down. Elaine C Smith used to be my drama teacher at school, well not just my teacher, I'm sure she taught lots of different classes.

Ha that's amazing - Doon Mackichan is great in it.

WaxOnFeckOff · 01/12/2020 19:48

I used to like her and to be fair Miss Smith was a great teacher, maybe I should check in to see how they are all looking.

No idea what BBC are spending the licence fee on atm.

Watching Power Rangers with DD and DH tonight. Occurred to us reruns almost as old as us are far preferable to most of the current output. They've even managed to ruin CBeebies.

Another vote to bring back GB.

Suspect we will be making our own entertainment.

Blankety blank? I'll just slap on my Betamax copy of the sound of music

That's what jumped out at me too. When was that last on the telly.
titsbumfannythelot · 01/12/2020 20:24

Grin It is all rather, um, retro...
WaxOnFeckOff · 01/12/2020 20:34

Oh my that's dire all round. Same thing my mum said since I was a kid - why don't they have a decent film on for kids just before bedtime on Christmas Eve?

OP posts:
anon444877 · 01/12/2020 21:12

Doesn't look like there are any new kids animations either. Well, the bbc war chest for Christmas 2021 should be sizeable!

titsbumfannythelot · 03/12/2020 16:01

Day 46 the (socially distanced of course) queue for vaccinations exceeds the queue for the Next sale at 5am on Boxing Day

NotAnActualSheep · 03/12/2020 16:32

Day 47 - the anti santa emerges from the chimney, sanitisers his hands with the brandy, snubs the mince pie as an infection risk and leaves each member of the family a single syringe of defrosted vaccine.
