I quite often have to drive Glasgow to Perth. That bit at Bannockburn on the M80 where you come over the brow of a hill and suddenly the Highlands loom and Ben vorlich is seen for the first time since leaving town takes my breath away each and every time.

*Except today. Because it was all hidden by low cloud.
