For some reason that is really making me laugh!

I always use 'How come' or when I'm really annoyed & the weegie accent kicks in 'How no' with my English colleagues to blank faces. I am quite proud that I have got outwith into a couple of our formal documents (which is hard as my boss is a right bugger for proof reading everything!)

Hogmanay as a wean consisted of:

Only an Excuse
Scotch and Wry (latterly Still Game)
Tam the Gun (wee soul)
Jackie Bird in a god awful dress

ssd · 15/08/2015 21:37

as well as never calling your son Ned, you never answer anyone in here by calling them hun Grin

prettybird · 15/08/2015 21:40

You can tell I'm posh Glaswegian (from Bearsden/Milngavie so dh insists I'm not a proper Glaswegian Wink): I'd never heard of "ginger" referring to all fizzy drinks until I started going out with him. I also didn't use the expression "juice" for drinks (unless I meant "juice" Wink). For that I blame the fact we were newly arrived from South Africa when I was wee, so my parents wouldn't have used the term.

I now say juice for all drinks but can't make myself say "ginger" for fizzy drinks.

littledafty · 15/08/2015 21:40

blue we had Loch Lomond as our last dance at our wedding. Love it, the best bit is when everyone joins hands and runs into the middle. Such good memories

ssd · 15/08/2015 21:48

definitely use ginger, same as a piece an sausage

Mrsjayy · 15/08/2015 21:50

Mrsjayy · 15/08/2015 21:52

BlueThursday · 15/08/2015 21:56

prettybird · 15/08/2015 22:05

I've been told Ginger is usually because what Scot drinks anything else? Wink but not exclusively Irn Bru. Grin

BlueThursday · 15/08/2015 22:06

ssd · 15/08/2015 22:08
