DH always takes the bags down to the communal bins in a morning on his way to work.

oooggs · 03/08/2005 20:10

I do

lunavix · 03/08/2005 20:11

We don't as it lives by the street.

DH takes rubbish out, it's a mans job

Hulababy · 03/08/2005 20:11

We don't have to take the wheely bins out; concierge do that.

NomDePlume · 03/08/2005 20:11

No-one, the wheely bin lives in our garage !

However, the DSs take it in turns to take the bins out for collection. They alternate weeks.

I collect all the rubbish from the house & DH usually hauls it up the drive (120'). Sometimes persuade kids to do it if not too heavy. It's carrying the recycling bins that is a pain!

kid · 03/08/2005 20:13

I usually leave the rubbish bag in the garden and hope DH will take it out to the bins. If not, then I'll drag it over there myself!

ilovehorses · 03/08/2005 20:14

dh puts the wheelie bins out and only if he is away do I do it, well he never cleans the bathroom does he.

WigWamBam · 03/08/2005 20:17

We don't have a wheelie bin, we have to leave our black bags by the roadside. Sometimes dh does it, sometimes I do.

Why do you want to know?

puff · 03/08/2005 20:19

It is dh's job, he always forgets, so I run out on Thursday mornings and hurl the bags over the fence just in time for the binmen to catch them.

Grrrrrrrrr

Pinotmum · 03/08/2005 20:20

I am the one who ALWAYS empties the kitchen bin (and others) and puts the black sacks in the back garden. DH usually then takes them out on collection day to the front garden. He does regularly forget which day is collection day so I end up doing it all.

ilovehorses · 03/08/2005 20:21

She is just curious about other people's lives like we all are on here. Could be wrong

Steppy1 · 03/08/2005 20:22

...we don't have a wheelie bin. it's DH's job to put the bin bags out - Friday mornings before 8.30am !!!! (I've usually left for work as I teach a Step class on a Friday morning, lucky me !!!!)

spidermama · 03/08/2005 20:23

Whoever is using it when it's full takes it out.

I just took mine out twenty minutes ago whilst holding my giant baby in just his nappy, and the front door slammed shut. I had to ask the neighbours to hold him while I climbed over their high wall because it's the only way to get into my garden.

It couldn't have been a pretty sight for them, me knickerless in white trousers and a 'housework' teeshirt scaling their wall. Urghh!

Giant baby managed to get a good handful of her hair as well while I was reclaiming him over the wall.

I think I'll let dh do it next time.

WigWamBam · 03/08/2005 20:23

I only asked ... I'm just curious to know why she asked that particular question, that's all. I wasn't being funny.

charliecat · 03/08/2005 20:27

I wanted to know because dp didnt take the recycling out last week and is saying hes not taking the bin out this week. Considering I do the grass cutting the toilet cleaning the childminding the school run etc etc I dont want to do that as well.

OP posts:
WigWamBam · 03/08/2005 20:27

Why is he refusing to do it, charliecat?

Pinotmum · 03/08/2005 20:30

The bins out to the front is about the only "housework" dh does (sometimes) and he still moans about it. I think I may leave his washing for a while to help his memory improve.

Gobbledigook · 03/08/2005 20:31

Dh - always.
