Is anyone in love with you?

Just wondering...afaik, no one is, with me...though I am slightly in love with about 2 or 3 people

There always used to be quite a few, you know, well at least one...kind of an ego boost to know someone thinks you are great.

It can include people other than your DH/dp.

i look constipated.

electrofagz · 17/03/2010 21:30

DH and DD love me but with DS it is really taken to another level (and it is to him that my heart belongs).

Other than that, yes, if I am honest, I could think of a couple of men who may be having sleepless nights atm, but I am a real homebody and not remotely interested in straying. Saying that, it is possible that I give off the wrong signals as I am quite well preserved and I do not wear my wedding ring. I am a bit of a romantic who drifts in and out of love easily.

I'm not really in love with myself though.

TiggyD · 17/03/2010 21:42

Nobody loves me.

Some people are just naturally unlovable.

PeggysEvilTwin · 17/03/2010 21:43

I hope so. Can only say this on here, but met the most gorgeous man [boy] a couple of weeks ago. Much younger than me, and everytime I see him shivers run down my spine. Nothing will ever happen, but he has put a proper spring in my step, let me tell you!!

IvanaPavlov · 17/03/2010 21:55

I think younger, unsuitable man at work loves me but another even younger, more unsuitable man at work loves someone else

BelleDameSansMerci · 17/03/2010 22:05

Well, I have exP who claims to love me but I don't think he's in love with me.

Lovely, older man adores me and claims to love me. Shame I don't fancy him and his saggy old man bottom (he's actually only six years older than me but you'd never guess).

Chap I was at school with (we met on our first day at primary school) has maintained crush for about 40 years (not in creepy way) and is currently wooing me across the Atlantic with gifts of books and frequent contact. He claims love also but I suspect lust.

I'm not in love with anyone except my DD whom I love with all my heart. Would be nice to meet a man who makes my heart beat faster...

FrazzledDad · 17/03/2010 22:37

Nope. I'm not sure anyone ever has been in love with me. My ex admitted she's never really been in love with me during our 10 year relationship, I'd just 'made her feel safe'.

None of my girlfriends in my earlier years ever said the loved me.

I'd like to know what it feels like to be loved (by someone other than my DCs).

Just read that back to myself - didn't mean to come across all

BelleDameSansMerci · 18/03/2010 07:51

Ah but, Frazzled, you don't know that there isn't a lovely lady somewhere wondering where you are...

Also, please don't underrate the importance of making a woman feel safe. It's something that many of us long for.

morningpaper · 18/03/2010 07:54

I assume that everyone is in love with me

BelleDameSansMerci · 18/03/2010 07:57

I heart morningpaper

Anniegetyourgun · 18/03/2010 11:16

I've finally got Brad to stop ringing at all hours of the day and night, but I think Jonny is still stalking me #sigh# Apart from that, nobody!

Well, XH is, by his own account, but see my care face

Kiwinyc · 18/03/2010 17:40

Only DH... theres someone else who'd like to get in my pants but thats not the same as love is it?

ShowOfHands · 18/03/2010 17:51

I love you sausagepastie. There are nights where I can't sleep for yearning. Just the mention of your name and I'm prostrate with desire and unbridled affection. It cannot be stopped.

Erm, dh loves me because he knows what's good for him. And obviously dd and my parents and my brother and I think the ILs are genuinely fond of me, I certainly love them.

Otherwise, no, people with eyes aren't attracted to me. And people with legs tend to run from me. It's okay. I like my own company.

I'm ridiculously in love with several MNers and would run away with them in seconds. Just as soon as they stop running from me.

I love Trotsky. I always thought you were a bit wishy washy Lenin. No offence and that.

I have to save a bit of myself for the shortbread finger which is across the bakery and keeps winking at me...or is that a raisin?

actually rather happy irl as me and my secret crush have had liaisons today, over a packet of jumping beans. He knows who he is.(and probably that I fancy him, ah well )

It's a love story for modern times. Move over Posh and Whatsisface, Gordon and Sarah, er Batman and Robin.

They'll write poems about us. Proper posh ones with no rhyme unless it's internal. I see sunsets. I hear swelling orchestral music.

I'm just leaving a note for dh or he'll forget to feed the cats.

ShowOfHands · 18/03/2010 18:14

I've never had a secret crush. It's obvious when I fancy somebody. I blush and fall over my own feet. I'm hoping I never meet David Mitchell. In my head our love is beautiful and tempered with witty conversation and affectionate banter. In reality I'd stutter a lot and probably cry.

BelleDameSansMerci · 18/03/2010 18:16

SoH, how can you leave the cats?
