Male Waxing

This is probably better for a Friday night thread but desperately need some feedback on this. Have name changed.

Started seeing a new man a few weeks back and last week had sex for the first time with him.

Sex was pretty good but I was slightly taken aback to find that he has completely bald nether regions He has a hairy chest and arms but his 'bits' are totally bald.

Now, I wasn't overly put off and having not had that many sexual partners I wasn't sure if this was 'the norm' these days

However I mentioned it to a couple of friends - one of whom is VERY liberal minded and both were quite taken aback and thought that I should be careful as this could signal maybe odd sexual fetishes etc

Now my mind is on overdrive and I'm not sure what to do. He seems normal, maybe a bit full on but nothing untoward and the sex was good and 'normal' too.

What do you think??

Men tend to do that because they think it makes them look bigger. I think it makes them look like the last chicken in the shop tbh but each to their own.

Are you sure he was waxed and not just shaved? seems a lot of commitment for a man to go get his nuts waxed.

OhBalls · 27/09/2009 11:20

I'm presuming waxed just because it was so erm smooth but no idea how he removes it.

rofl @ waxing your knackers being a sign that you are some sort of deviant.

I wouldn't judge him for his bald sack

HTH

Disenchanted3 · 27/09/2009 11:34

Urgh gosh, never seen a baldie, don't think Id want to

Mind you DH is mega hairy so would be a bit of a shock if he got waxed!

I agree with the 'looking bigger' thing, DH once trimmed the folliage right back and he did look alot larger but his itching detracted from the over all effect

OrmIrian · 27/09/2009 12:14

I would find that very unnattractive I think. And quite strange that he wanted that bit shaved without anything else. But I guess it's his choice. I'd want to know why he wanted it done - just out of curiosity really.

AnAuntieNotAMum · 27/09/2009 13:40

Increasingly common, especially among younger blokes. Some say oral sex feels better that way or hope it makes it more pleasant for the partner. Influence of porn probably I suppose where pubic hair seems a rarity. Just one of several behaviours that would have seemed pretty "out there" twenty years ago but now are considered common or garden (or no garden infact ) very early in a relationship.

mrsboogie · 27/09/2009 14:10

surely waxing there would hurt to buggery??

I think most men would rather have their eye taken out with a rusty fork than have their testicles waxed

AnAuntieNotAMum · 27/09/2009 14:19

mrsboogie - there are lots of salons offering "back, sack and crack" waxes these days. Sure it must hurt like hell but blokes are increasingly being as conditioned to be unhappy with what they've got naturally as women have been for decades.
I've seen articles in lads mags like fhm and nuts discussing waxing vs trimming

StrictlyAvadaKedavra · 27/09/2009 14:23

It's a brave man who would have the balls to go into a beauty salon to get a back, sack and crack without looking like they were a porn star or plain pervy and getting a kick out of the young ladies doing that to them.

@ last chicken

purplepeony · 27/09/2009 15:01

well I prefer them hairy, so there.

AnAuntieNotAMum · 27/09/2009 15:22

Why don't you ask this lot?

The last turkey in the butchers window

CNyle · 27/09/2009 16:19

god that thread is full of pervs

Malificence · 27/09/2009 16:42

All I can say is - bleurghhhhh!
Wrong wrong wrong, and genitally bald women look equally as hideous.
I was so relieved not have to shave my hubby for his snip, just gave him a neat trim - it did stop those 3 inch long pubes you sometimes get in your teeth though.
If a little bit of hair spoils your sexual pleasure then you're doing it all wrong!

FredaMare · 27/09/2009 17:19

maybe it's a hygiene thing for him? maybe he prefers less hairy nether regions?

I once had a Brazilian wax as a dare. It hurt like you wouldn't believe, but I'd have to say that I felt a lot cleaner when I got my period that month. Mind you, not so very clean that I booked another Brazilian. No siree.

His preference is his preference, I suppose. The time to worry would be if he started to dictate to you what you should be doing?

I nearly choked on my sherry at the chicken image

notevenamousie · 27/09/2009 18:33

Can you ask? But then I tend to think talking about sex fixes most issues.
I haven't seen it but also not massively experienced, and I really hate the concept of women having to shave or wax their genital areas.

So, it wouldn't be a deal breaker for me but I would ask.

aseriouslyblondemoment · 27/09/2009 18:47

out of curiosity what does this guy do for a living?

OhBalls · 27/09/2009 21:30

Thanks for all your replies! I think I am a little more reassured

ASBM - He's in finance... why?

OP posts:
aseriouslyblondemoment · 27/09/2009 22:19

ohhh lol
have just heard that some military guys do as when they've been stationed abroad they've had things attached down there

2010Dad · 27/09/2009 23:30

I shave my balls and trim my pubes - it's no big deal!

I love my wife shaven and she does too.

It feels a lot more sensitive, and yes, porn may have a lot to do with it; it looks sexy ;)

I doubt he gets waxed... shaving every few days is easy once you've started. I find it rather erotic...

AnyFucker · 28/09/2009 00:04

jeez, TMI

mrsboogie · 28/09/2009 00:23

but, the itching?

the ingrown hairs?

the rashes?

hambler · 28/09/2009 00:32

you don't get ingrown hairs or rashes if you just keep it shaved all the time. At least I don't
