unrecognised physical reasons for lack of libido

My total lack of libido is jeopardising my relationship with dh.

I think all too often we rationalise lack of libido as down to tiredness with small children, quasi pyschological reasons (e.g. perhaps on some subliminal level your relationship with your husband could be better / you resent him etc)...but I'm beginning to wonder if there is a poorly recognised problem in this country of hormonal imbalance causing lack of libido in women?

I'm not overly tired (small children but they sleep through), am quite happy with dh generally (he's not perfect but a good sort really!), but just have no interest in sex. It's not a reflection on him - I don't have lustful thoughts about a single man (or woman!).

I'm wondering if my testosterone levels are too little (women have this sex hormone too). Particularly since during the third trimesters of my pregnancies I have felt randy as hell (which suggests to me that the mix of hormones at that time was okay)

Anyone else wonder if hormones are too blame, or know anything about this subject? I think that in the US they give testosterone supplements to affected women.

(An historical aside: money was never originally pumped into Viagra research - it was supposed to be a heart drug but - ahem - some interesting side effects were noted by participants....)

Films directed by Candida Royalle are made for the female market (or for viewing as a couple - highly recommended!)
The films are not all the same, so I would suggest buying several. They are gentler than "typical" porn (very different) but they do show full sex.
Here is some information about the director and her "Femme" production company. On this site, the films are expensive.
The same films are much cheaper here - only $12.88 (about £7) each with p&p of $6.50 plus $1.50 per film. From this site, all adult dvds are guaranteed to be free of region locking. (If you get lost within the site or go to Adult, Studio, Femme or reuse the link.) There is no problem with Customs - even if the package is opened and checked by them, it will be resealed and forwarded. Nothing on this site is nowadays illegal in UK.

Some of the Candida Royalle films are available by searching on Amazon (or cheaper - on the searched Amazon page go to More Buying Choices). I don't know if those editions from UK sources are censored.

If there is a licensed sex shop near you , the films will be labelled R18 and will not be censored - but stay with Candida Royalle for now - you may decide to look further later. One note of caution - you won't like some of the other material on offer.
