We always go for dinner, back to his, watch a DVD. Or for dinner & then the cinema.

What else can we do on a Saturday night or a Sunday?

It is minus 30 so no picnics or outside activities.

Exercise class?

Karaoke bar?

Dancing?

Ivykaty44 · 15/01/2009 22:52

ice rink and skate or rollerbalding indoors, ten pin bowling?

Cook dinner together - do a fondue and get all the ingrediants and cook.

SuperBunny · 15/01/2009 22:58

I like the idea of cooking together.

I have a should injury which prevents me from bowling and all skating is outside - otherwise I'd love to do that. I do not dance!

CurlyhairedAssassin · 15/01/2009 23:02

Bloody hell, where ARE you that it is -30 degrees?!

Ivykaty44 · 15/01/2009 23:09

Dancing lessons? For both of you, could you try slsa (very sexy) or latin american, ballroom - learning together could be fun and you may meet other couples.

Card games, bridge, rummy, crib and spanish tapas cooked and then nibbled whilst you play cards? A bit of a card school...

aseriouslyblondemoment · 15/01/2009 23:13

er which one did you choose then?
or are we still on multiple choice lol!!

SuperBunny · 15/01/2009 23:16

Ooo, dancing lessons. I don't know if he'd be up for that. Will have to investigate!

I like game playing too.

I think this is #1, blonde. But I will be seeing my friend (#3?) on Sunday.

Anyfucker, that will come later in the evening

Thanks for suggestions

aseriouslyblondemoment · 15/01/2009 23:30

but glad to hear things still going well for you

lessonlearned · 15/01/2009 23:55

Swimming, better still sauna/health club, then swimming.

SuperBunny · 16/01/2009 00:22

No, not swimming! Do people do that for a date?

spa trip together - or if you can get one in your area, some massage/beauty therapy places will come to you. a couples massage in your own home is lovely - and no need to travel afterwards so you can just slob about in your dressing gowns.

SuperBunny · 16/01/2009 00:38

Oh, sounds nice. I am not sure we are at that stage yet though. Will remember for future reference

My sister lives in the States, and says it's -30F where she is in Chicago.

I was going to suggest reading a book of poetry together, he reads one, you read one! Or a board game - snakes and ladders - ludo... but I think the starkers skating sounds a lot better if a little dangerous in the cold.

How about shoveling the sidewalk, and then having a cup of hot chocolate with marshmallows together.

You can tell I haven't had a 'date' in ages, can't you!!!

SuperBunny · 16/01/2009 00:51

I'm in Chicago!

I want to sit by the fire and drink hot chocolate and play board games but don't want to appear terribly dull!

what about going to the theatre, or to see a band? or tix to a sports match? museum? comedy night at a bar? trivia night?

SuperBunny · 16/01/2009 05:37

We're going to a bar where there are board games on Sat night and will go for brunch on Sunday.

Thanks for all the suggestions - will use them on future dates (assuming there will be more)

I definitely need to go to a comedy show as I've never done it and it is one of the things to do here.

Sounds like a great plan! Have fun

Ivykaty44 · 16/01/2009 14:32

Board games and hot chocolate is the way to go - as you can test your man to see what type of person you are dealing with

Use monopoly to see whether he takes risks, whether he is spend spend spend or al little cautious.

use cludeo - to see whether he is aware of what is going on around him and if he observes things happening.

Games and hot chocolate will give you time together where you can talk aswell as playing and really get to know the person you are with.

ps i wonder if how a man plays a board game is an indication of how he is in bed?

SuperBunny · 17/01/2009 23:33

No idea, IK - I shall report back, if you like

Have a "can't cook won't cook night..." one buys some random ingredient that they like, the other has to cook something good with it... fun and you get to see how he is at cooking and food shopping !

zazen · 18/01/2009 03:21

IvyKAty44 -"ps i wonder if how a man plays a board game is an indication of how he is in bed? "
I hope it isn't as my Dh loves to be first!! And to Wop my Ass!! LOL

I hear that Chicago is colder today SB, hope you are wrapping up warm wherever your date is!!
