does anyone else actually "want it" during menstruation

i'm just over 40 and a namechanger...cos this is a bit embarrassing.does anyone else actually feel they want sex when on their periods....wondering if i'm nearing the change or something cos this has been a fairly recent thing.i did actually also feel like it alot more during my pregnancies.anyone else like me or am i a bit odd?

the increased blood flow to the area increases the likelihood of horniness (supposedly)

i just don't have much sensitivity down there during that time of the month and my body is ultra-sensitive. it can actually be a bit uncomfortable during that time.

as a result, my libido drops to nill during that time of the month.

Ohhh, there was a thread about this a while back. I was roundly hounded out of town by declaring NEVER in a month of Sundays. would I let my old man near me nethers. The Mess!!

Someone on here has a special towel, just for that reason.

My sex drive (what little I have!) disappears while I have my period and also while I'm pg, and pretty much while I'm bf too! Poor DH - we have 2 ds'2 under 3.5 who have both been bf for 8+ months!

yes - I feel extra horny when I have my period but we don't have sex then because i don't like the mess it creats and I can't be arsed with the washing it would take!

I am a woman. He knew that when he met me. If men are bothered by it they really should reflect on why the normal physiology of women bothers him.

no...my hubbie doesn't worry about it at all.i too sometimes do it in the shower to save the mess though.

I had a boyfriend who used to badger me for sex during my period.

I just don't want it then! Not the mess factor, but I just have no libido then and it sort of hurts.

I got sick of his horndog bullshit and dumped him.

Hmm, I get horny but it grosses both of us out. The mess that is.

However, did get my period on day 1 of our honeymoon... and it then didn't stop for 10 weeks so we kinda had to get over it!

Think maybe we're both a bit traumatised from it tbh

i must admit,i do remember years and years ago with an ex he too didn't mind at all having sex when I was "on".Think I was far more bothered about it then.As I said,now I seem to want it more than ever!

he just didn't seem to hear me when i said, 'no, because i don't want it and it sort of hurts during that time of the month for me.'

he got all sulky and kept bringing it up.

so i told him to go tell it to the hand, his right one, and take his horndog self the hell away from me.
