Sisters DH using AI to change images of a girl they know

50sandFabulous · 03/06/2026 21:20

Really need some opinions on this. My sister is not on MN. I told her to join and post for advice, but I know she won’t have time.

I will show her the responses if I feel she needs it. She’s definitely being gaslit by her DH right now!!

So, my Sister (51) walked into her husband‘s (50) office yesterday, and saw an image on his laptop screen, of a young woman blowing a kiss. He could not close the image fast enough. It was a work laptop and I don’t really understand how it works, nor does she, however the image seemed to disappear behind another document so my sister could still see the out line of the photo. He then quickly deleted it properly.

There was something in the photo that rang bells in my sister’s mind, and it made her think of a birthday party that they had been to a couple of years ago. And she thought that she knew who the girl was in the photo. She was correct. It is her best friends daughter (21 now, 19 at the time the photo was taken).

My sister has been with her husband for 19 years, and when they met, this girl was 2 years old, and she calls him uncle.

Her husband has deleted the other three people in the photo (Mum dad and sibling) and has then put this photo into Gemini with the instruction to “make this photo sexy”. Which has resulted in the image being sexualised with three different photos, one with a sexy pose with the legs crossed, another with her bending forward and blowing a kiss, and then a third with her back to the camera with her looking over her shoulder.

When my sister was on the school run, her husband has gone scorched earth and deleted every photo on the laptop, so it’s now almost back to factory settings - this is of course making her think that there are even more photos, or worse photos that were there.

They are now at complete stalemate, with him saying you are overreacting, I was just messing around with Gemini, to her thinking, why have you sexualised photographs of someone who has been in your life since she was 2 and who calls you uncle, and how are they ever supposed to socialise around this family now given that they are all exceptionally close basically like family.

Prior to this they have been the perfect family unit. Lovely house, 3 perfect kids, no money worries. There is so much at stake.

What are your thoughts? My tummy is spinning.

I think that is pretty sick on a few levels: using Ai to make innocent photos of women sexy, sexualising a very young woman who he has known since childhood and gaslighting his wife to say it is nothing.

Can the images he has deleted be restored by someone with technical know how?

Report to police,they can restore.
The other family newd to know.
He seaeeves what's coming .

ToYouFromMe · 06/06/2026 20:36

Sorry... deserves whats coming to him.

Papster · 03/06/2026 23:37

He’s used a mainstream ai tool to make a photo of a young woman who he knows , clothed, blowing him a kiss,
I doubt they’re going to prioritise this over online child sexual abuse investigations

In context though.
He is "an uncle" has known and been involved with her since 2 years old.Weirdo +++
At the very least I think they d want to check his computer history.
Who knows what they ll find.
Your DS should be speaking to the other family.
S**t will hit the fan when they become aware of this.
How do you defend this ???
Why would you want to bury it ???

StressedStudentPara · 06/06/2026 20:53

Are you the sister @50sandFabulous

CarbonArtist · 06/06/2026 21:02

It’s a criminal offence to make a sexually explicit AI image of a real person without their consent. Whether the images this perv made would meet the police’s definition of sexually explicit, I don’t know. Someone needs to go through that computer though, sounds like there’s a lot more there that he doesn’t want anyone to find.

Chilling to think this degenerate was able to masquerade as a lovely guy for two decades before being exposed. It’s stories like this which mean I would never again seek out a relationship with a man. 19 years…. feel so bad for OP’s sister.

The image will not be indecent because that AI tool would not allow it.
On which basis the chances of them taking any interest are very low

This is a sing.off cheating

Sing off cheating….like a Milli Vanilli?!! 🤣

In this case I think it’s more a case of a Wandering Willy…!

Only joking and I agree BTW. I’d highly suspect this is the tip of the iceberg and it will come to light that BIL has been getting up to far more egregious stuff than just using photo editing software to create dodgy (and frankly downright creepy) materials to stock up his personal wank bank.

Utterly grim.

Buzzyluzzy · 06/06/2026 22:04

Ugh vile man. On a work laptop too, such an idiot.

XelaM · 06/06/2026 22:11

Reminds me of "American Beauty". It didn't end well for the father...

He is the loveliest man too.

Not if he's perving on a young family friend he's known since she was a child.

socialdilemmawhattodo · 06/06/2026 20:02

You definitely would. The police it units are very under resourced. They dont even look at devices that they themselves have seized as part of investigations. Just get handed back months later. Untouched.

That would be unusual. My DS works for a police force in their digital forensic dept doing just this with computers and they don’t send things back untouched once seized.

Perhaps not,but still think the other family and the girl in particular shld be aware of this happening.
What a way to behave!!!.

LetsSkipToNextChapter · 03/06/2026 22:20

He simply fancies this lady. Likes how she looks now that she’s grown-up. Icky but many middle aged men are. You see many in their mid 40s targeting those in their 20s.

You said he’s lovely - could he just be having fun seeing what AI can do?

It isn’t right of course, he’s married, shouldn’t be ogling young ladies or distorting pictures of females but the technology is there now to create your own porn and he’s obviously decided to give it try. Could have chosen a picture of his wife to experiment with though.

Jesus christ. Guess what, the world doesn't have to revolve around men keeping their dicks happy. How do you think this poor girl would feel if she found out the man she calls uncle, is making these images of her? Would you tell her she was over reacting if she was horrified, and explain to her that he simply just wants to fuck her, that's all, no big deal?

I agree.

It’s the conviction that the police would be at all interested in this and appropriate his laptop on the basis of an ai generated image of an adult (the fact he’s known her since 2 would be irrelevant ) that needs a large bucket of cold water.
Its also a work laptop…

Thats nonsense, how do you think nonces make ai sexualised images of children? There will be tools out there he could use.

Naunet · 07/06/2026 19:54

The OP said he’d used Gemini

Gemini is a tightly controlled Google product.

The evidence thus far is,

‘Her husband has deleted the other three people in the photo (Mum dad and sibling) and has then put this photo into Gemini with the instruction to “make this photo sexy”. Which has resulted in the image being sexualised with three different photos, one with a sexy pose with the legs crossed, another with her bending forward and blowing a kiss, and then a third with her back to the camera with her looking over her shoulder’.

She’s 19 and clearly a fantasy figure.

Yes he’s a sleazebag and his family relations are irrevocably and deservedly fucked but there’s a big leap to ‘nonces’ and imho the police would not be interested.

Unexpectedlysinglemum · 07/06/2026 22:58

yuk

CrikeyMajikey · Yesterday 06:05

Something very similar happened to my DD in year 11 at school. A sports team photo was superimposed with nude bodies by a boy in a lower year group. The girls were all very upset about it, they felt violated and humiliated. The boy was expelled.

If the other family become involved, I would seriously think about letting the girl know. Disgusting man.

CarbonArtist · Yesterday 11:14

He doesn’t have to be a paedo to have committed an offence. It’s against the law to make sexualised ai images of adults without their consent.

50sandFabulous · Yesterday 12:08

The images aren't sexual. There are three poses. One is of her standing with her legs crossed over, hands on hips, one is her bending forward and blowing a kiss (her cardigan removed), and one is her body facing away, but she's looking over her shoulder and smiling at the camera. It was quite a sexy outfit she was wearing that night - very short skirt, as opposed to jeans.

What was his explanation for it?

That he "just wanted to see what AI could do".

My concern is that he wiped his hard drive before my sister could look for anything else.

Most of us will probably either use AI in some capacity or messed around to see what it can do.

I've got a fair idea of what it can do and I've managed all of that without creating sexualised images of someone I've known since they were a toddler.

His excuse is just a variation of all the other, "I was just curious,"/"It didn't mean anything," bs men spout when their wives find them on escort sites, porn sites, messaging someone half their age from work...

The fact he was panicked enough to delete his entire history speaks volumes.

A truly innocent person wouldn't have anything in their history to delete and wouldn't be testing AI capabilities in this way.
