Sisters DH using AI to change images of a girl they know

50sandFabulous · 03/06/2026 21:20

Really need some opinions on this. My sister is not on MN. I told her to join and post for advice, but I know she won’t have time.

I will show her the responses if I feel she needs it. She’s definitely being gaslit by her DH right now!!

So, my Sister (51) walked into her husband‘s (50) office yesterday, and saw an image on his laptop screen, of a young woman blowing a kiss. He could not close the image fast enough. It was a work laptop and I don’t really understand how it works, nor does she, however the image seemed to disappear behind another document so my sister could still see the out line of the photo. He then quickly deleted it properly.

There was something in the photo that rang bells in my sister’s mind, and it made her think of a birthday party that they had been to a couple of years ago. And she thought that she knew who the girl was in the photo. She was correct. It is her best friends daughter (21 now, 19 at the time the photo was taken).

My sister has been with her husband for 19 years, and when they met, this girl was 2 years old, and she calls him uncle.

Her husband has deleted the other three people in the photo (Mum dad and sibling) and has then put this photo into Gemini with the instruction to “make this photo sexy”. Which has resulted in the image being sexualised with three different photos, one with a sexy pose with the legs crossed, another with her bending forward and blowing a kiss, and then a third with her back to the camera with her looking over her shoulder.

When my sister was on the school run, her husband has gone scorched earth and deleted every photo on the laptop, so it’s now almost back to factory settings - this is of course making her think that there are even more photos, or worse photos that were there.

They are now at complete stalemate, with him saying you are overreacting, I was just messing around with Gemini, to her thinking, why have you sexualised photographs of someone who has been in your life since she was 2 and who calls you uncle, and how are they ever supposed to socialise around this family now given that they are all exceptionally close basically like family.

Prior to this they have been the perfect family unit. Lovely house, 3 perfect kids, no money worries. There is so much at stake.

What are your thoughts? My tummy is spinning.

He is the loveliest man too.

No, he’s not.

He's known this girl since she was TWO YEARS OLD. Now he's imagining fucking her.

THIS

JLou08 · 03/06/2026 23:12

She's not overreacting. It is disgusting behaviour. She needs to consider how she would feel if it was her child being sexualised like that by her best friends DH and keep that in mind as she ends the relationships with the perv/potential pedophile. There's nothing to lose because it's built on a lie, no sane person could trust him after this. Surely she won't want him around any other young people, DCs friends/partners, other nieces.

Icequeen01 · 03/06/2026 23:13

I would be handing over his laptop to the police so the digital forensics team could take a look at it!

I think you’d get a fairly negative response.

He is the loveliest man too.

Yeah….i think that’s what Sonja Sutcliffe said about her husband Peter.

If he had nothing to hide there would be nothing to delete.
God -I know it’s not all men but it’s quite a lot isn’t it?
This though, a girl who calls him uncle who he has known from 2 yrs old would give me the ick so much that my fanny clanging shut would show onthe Richter scale.
He is beyond disgusting.

From the police? I’m not sure you would if the circumstances were explained.

HotGazpacho · 03/06/2026 23:36

He’s an absolute scumbag. Not all men and yet somehow, always a man.

He’s used a mainstream ai tool to make a photo of a young woman who he knows , clothed, blowing him a kiss,
I doubt they’re going to prioritise this over online child sexual abuse investigations

He simply fancies this lady. Likes how she looks now that she’s grown-up. Icky but many middle aged men are. You see many in their mid 40s targeting those in their 20s.

You said he’s lovely - could he just be having fun seeing what AI can do?

It isn’t right of course, he’s married, shouldn’t be ogling young ladies or distorting pictures of females but the technology is there now to create your own porn and he’s obviously decided to give it try. Could have chosen a picture of his wife to experiment with though.

How can you possibly minimise this? He’s a fucking creep at best. At worst, he’s a man who has sexual fantasies about someone he’s known since their childhood. “Icky” minimises the seriousness of this by quite some way.

Why an earth would you take it to police ? That’s barmy !

TremendousThirst · 03/06/2026 23:44

So how does your sister know that he edited the photo and used that prompt with AI? Did he admit it when she confronted him?

But it’s not only CSA they look at. Admittedly it probably wouldn’t be a priority.

wishfulthinking25 · 03/06/2026 22:04

Well he’s definitely not

God why is everyone picking up on this comment. She obviously meant he seems like the loveliest man. She knows he’s not now. Jesus

idontknowhowtodreamyourdreams · 04/06/2026 07:52

Gross. If he’s done this once, what else has he been doing. I would be concerned about what else there is to find on other devices etc. There will be more.

I use AI image editing all the time (images of myself that I use to promote business on social media. I change backgrounds, lighting, remove my cellulite. But it is alarmingly easy to do much more, if you were so inclined.

HappyMamma2023 · 04/06/2026 20:31

This is disgusting and him deleting his web history suggests he has much worse photos. A work friend's seemingly lovely husband was arrested by police for viewing child porn. Does he also take his phone into the bathroom for a long time? You never know what people are really like

Lugol · 05/06/2026 06:53

Do they have daughters OP?

What's it going to be like when those daughters reach 18 or so and have friends round?
I worked with a guy like this. He preyed on women who'd been in abusive relationships, always with young daughters. Always the kindly 'Uncle' buying them their first bike and buying them their first car etc. The whole white knight thing.

He got arrested after he'd been sending photos to what he thought were 12 year old girls and trying to meet up with them.

I'm telling you this because he was creepy as fuck with one girl whose life he'd been in since she was 2.
He was a married man 'lovely guy' etc.
I know this girl is 19 but he's known her all her life, it's a total abuse of trust.
Your sister should kick this creep out.

50sandFabulous · 06/06/2026 19:24

No there has been absolutely nothing previous to this!!

TheBlueKoala · 06/06/2026 19:30

@50sandFabulous Please tell me he doesn't have daughters? It's very vile- especially since he's known her since she was 2 years old. Perverts can be "nice" and "kind" except when they aren't because their desires are wicked and they don't resist to them.

socks1107 · 06/06/2026 19:37

He’s done this to someone he had known since a child is vile and revolting. And doing it to any woman is disgusting.
Hope work catch him at it given it’s a work pc he’s used

😢 hope your sis is ok!

NestaArcheron · 06/06/2026 19:51

If someone my child called uncle did this, I’d be in prison. He’s absolutely disgusting.

drunkelephant83 · 06/06/2026 19:56

I’d want to see his phone history, any iPads etc also.

From the police? I’m not sure you would if the circumstances were explained.

You definitely would. The police it units are very under resourced. They dont even look at devices that they themselves have seized as part of investigations. Just get handed back months later. Untouched.

kkloo · 06/06/2026 20:31

I would 100% leave a man for this.
