Mine are:-

Any addictions.
Being crap with money.
Neediness.
Believing gender ideology.
Crossdressing or other fetishes.
Anxiety or phobias about things that aren't scary, like the dentist or spiders.

Edited

Spiders are not (depending where you live), but the dentist is a totally rational fear.

Sueandthegoldfish · 31/05/2026 19:51

Predisposition to any kind of addiction (difficult to know until it’s too late…)
Solitary ie no personal friends
A closed mind ie no willingness to grow, explore or tolerate anything new or different

(While Looking under my stairs at DH’s; 2 of 3 x DS; DD and DSIL -staying over as easier for work tomo - 5 pairs of bright white various expensive trainers lol - wondering if we are a red flag / undateable / nouveau riche family with no hope !!!)

Mine would be

Classism boiled down to its nub

But each to their own

I guess the female equivalent might be a pink velour ‘juicy’ tracksuit

Which along with white trainers feature heavily in my household of tradesman/ apprentices and students /professionals

So they need bugger off with the classist nonsense in the context of worrying character traits lol

x

Ladygodalmighty · 31/05/2026 23:53

God same!

A man looking at menu or board for coffee nitpicking for cheapest and suggesting a meal deal over a lunch there in the cafe

Or bringing popcorn and warm tins of pop to the cinema hidden in his ‘rucksack’

absolute minge cringe

See also- waiting for a bus 20mins in the rain rather than him hailing down a cab as quick as he can.

Houseofdrums · Yesterday 00:39
  1. dishonest
  2. self centred - a narcissist pretty much - when all things are about them
  3. controlling - mainly controlling in an obsessive way. Especially over the partner
DogAnxiety · Yesterday 00:44

Unkindness and mean-spiritedness
Sense of persecution
Any hint of a temper

LetsMakeThisMomentLast · Yesterday 00:52

1 Pessimism/negativity
2 Difficulty making decisions
3 Vocalising. Every. Single. Thought.

My partner of many years has all of these characteristics which have become more pronounced as he gets older. He does have ADHD though, which probably accounts for 2 and 3. I get it. I really do. But it drives me round the bend.

Inmyuggs · Yesterday 01:05

Lack of emotional awareness
Arogant
Addictive issues

SemiRetiredLoveGoddeess · Yesterday 01:49

Nearly everything mentioned in these posts.Plus, lack of persoal hygiene, bad breath, baldness and wearing a string vest.
