Boobs in your face!

So I've been to a couple of wedding receptions recently and a formal event for DH's work.
Is it just me getting older or does anyone else notice the amount of women/ girls at these kind of events whose boobs are almost out?

I'm no prude but really? When did this become so widely appropriate? I'm not talking a bit of cleavage here, I'm talking everything on show, the whole lot out to a millimetre or two from the nipples.

I just wonder why so many girls these days feel the need to do this? Are they insecure about the rest of themselves? Or is it an empowerment thing- that they will know what every male who sees them that night will be thinking?

I for one would prefer not to be confronted by pairs of bare boobs in my face on a night out?
Has anyone else noticed this?

But it’s not as if most people are walking about or attending functions in Versailles style almost topless dresses. Where incidentally you could show your breast with pride, but not your ankles.

I don't know what Versaille style is. I do know that what I have occassionally witnessed (and what I believe the OP is referring to) feels very inapropriate for any social occasions.

@Charlenedickens well yes of course because that's the only logical conclusion from my post 🙄

Why do you assume other women would even be bothered if you had your boobs on show?

Yeah I find this so odd, maybe it’s because I’m 32G so bigger chest sizes are normal to me but as a straight woman I rarely even notice. And if I did I wouldn’t care.

If you look at OP’s past history of starting threads…. It is clear that this is all about not trusting her husband.

Ooh really? That makes sense then because it’s unusual to concern yourself with this lol

A lot of flattering outfits happen to also be low cut, so anyone with anything beyond a C cup will inevitably be showing cleavage, should they chose to go with these outfits. I think women should dress how they want and in outfits that make them happy rather than spend their lives covering up so that men around them don’t feel the way you are describing

I think this is it. Most flattering clothes will show cleavage if you are medium-large size. Many people aren’t particularly going out their way to show cleavage it’s just the way it sits on them.

LoopyLoo1991 · 31/03/2026 23:58

I've literally had my face stuffed between boobs at parties! I'm apparently just the right height for cleavage stuffing! Some warning would be nice. You could easily suffocate in-between some of them.

I agree with you OP. It’s hardly empowering for these young women to ‘wear what they want’. I see it that they are just so well trained to appeal to men at all times.

Many young women will actively want men to notice them sexually, and to revel in the power of their sexuality. It’s nothing about being “trained” and it’s extremely natural.

Clonakilla · 01/04/2026 07:02

Fashions change.

A rant about girls not wearing enough could and has equally been delivered literally every decade since what at least the 20s and no doubt earlier. By misogynists.

You can also see the misogynists who’ve been called to this thread - women showing ‘exactly what kind of girls they are’ comments etc.

Leave the spaniel's lovely little ears out of it.
