Does your DH moan about food?

My DP is constantly going on about food, how much I eat, what I buy, what I eat and what's left etc.

A few minutes ago I was eating a sausage roll and a scotch egg and he came in and started saying "do you know how many calories and fat are in those?" so I said "yes, sausage rolls and scotch eggs, sausage rolls and scotch egs" because he was getting on my nerves (he's been in a mood all day) and he burnt his pasta and so was jealous that I had food and he didnt .

Anyway he just shook his head at me (which irritates me anyway) and sat down next to me so I tried to stuff the scotch egg in his mouth and kept saying "sausage rolls and scotch eggs, sausage rolls and scotch eggs" and he pushed me away. I said I just wanted him to try it and went to put it in his mouth again, he tried some and then I shoved it in his mouth again and he said "will you stop fucking doing that?" and got really mad.

I kept doing it and he pinned me to the couch and took it off me and I started laughing and so did he, I was laughing because there was scotch egg all over his face, I don't even know what he was laughing at!

Anyway as it ended on a good note we're ok but this will happen again with the next thing I eat.

Does your DH try to dictate what you eat?

At least you ended up laughing....I thought he might hit you!!

No, DH is mega and supportive and eats whatever I give him tho he usually does the cooking.

He never mentions what I spend at the supermarket but I am good at budgeting.

And the amount of fat and salt in what you were eating is astonishing so maybe he was trying to warn you how bad it was for you!

DH has a go at me about the food, but as he doesn't do any cooking or food shopping I just tend to ignore him...

Somehow, I think it is me who says more about what and how much he eats ...

he does the same kind of stuff to me! like cliping loads of pegs on my ears while I'm asleep. Believe me he is far from "abused" by me. We like a laugh, we often do wind each other up but 9 times out of 10 it ends up with us laughing about it.

Clothes pegs is different - thats a practical joke. Most married people do that I think - a good practical joke IS funny. Taunting someone and forcing them to eat something they have SPECIFICALLY said no to is pushing the boundary way too far.

only time i moan about food is if the gf is supposed to be dieting or getting in shape she says she wants me to help her because i'm quite active and eat well for the most part.
then she gets in an absolute huff if i point out that what she is eating is total crap or that being knackered from work isn't a reason to not exercise if she is serious about getting in shape.
