How old were you and how long of a relationship were you in before you got married?

We are slow movers

friends at 26 and 18.
dating at 31 and 23.
moved in together 34 and 26.
bought our own house 45 and 37 and got engaged following year.
we have never married now at 50 and 42.

Got together at 19, bought our first flat at 26ish, married at 30, son at 34!

met at 17 married at 21 divorced at 36. It didn’t seem like we were too young at the time, but we really were. He was two years older than me.

Both aged 33 , married 10 months after meeting
2 babies within 3 years
Its been 33 years , so I think we made the right decision !

Me: Moved in after 3 months. Engaged after 15 months married after 20 months. Been married 23 years.

My parents: engaged after 4 weeks, Married after 1.5 years. Married 58 years and counting.

My grandparents (both widows with kids): engaged after 2 weeks, married after 6 weeks, happily married for 65 years!

Met when I was 22 and he was 20, married 3 years later. Been together 20 years next week.

In 2019 Me 34 him 33 met August 2019 married exactly 4 weeks later 2020 first child was born 2021 our twins were born and happy campers...oh the short story was we were best friends until our early twenties, sadly lost touch when both of us had parents with sudden severe health problems and I had to move away to help mine. He got my number from a cousin he recognised at his work on 1st August 2019, he called me when his shift ended, we met the next day and it was like we had never been apart except the added romance bit was also there 😜

Got together at 28 but had been colleagues before that. Engaged at 33. Married at 33. Moved in together the week after our wedding. Married 17 years now.

Both just 17 when we met. Engaged at 19, married at 21, first child at 23. 76 now and married for 55 years. I think he's a keeper.

Met at 24, bought a house at 28, first child at 31, married at 33, second child hopefully at 34/35!

Met DP at 23, 19 years later we've still no interest in getting married.

Met At 18, at Exeter University, 50 years ago this month. Got engaged at graduation, married 3 years later. 45th anniversary next May.

Met at 25, married at 32. So a long gap!

I met my husband just before my 18th birthday, and we moved in together after two months - it would have been sooner than that but in those days many landlords were reluctant to rent to unmarried couples. We got married two years later and have now been together for 49 years.

Met at 22, moved in after 1 year, engaged at 29 13 years ago, still have yet to get married. I'm sure we will at some point.

It would be interesting to know roughly when these marriages occurred. Ie. Are the younger marriages during 90s annd older marriages more recent?

I was 22 and he was 24 when we met, got engaged after 2.5 years, we had a relatively short engagement of 6 months, so we were 25 and 27 when we married. Now 30 and 32 with a toddler and our second baby on the way!

#2 born exactly 40 weeks after our wedding 🤣

We were a bit of a whirlwind but when you know, you know! Been together 16 years, married 13 and thankfully it's all been much calmer since #2 was born!

Met him at 18, married by 19, first child by 20, five more kids after that with last one being born when i was 35. He's 5 years my senior. We are coming up to 20 years together. Love him with all my heart. He literally is the best man on earth.

We met in 2008 and were both 23
