How old were you and how long of a relationship were you in before you got married?

Out of curiosity

Met at 21, just friends.
Got together when I was 23.
Married at 31.
DC at 33 and 36.
Still very happy at 50.

Met at 18 at university. Relationship/living together from 23 for 10 years. Married for 30 and still going strong.

I was 27 when I met DH and 30 when we got married. We moved in together after 6 months, got engaged after just under 2 years and married after just under 3 years.

If we'd met when much younger, I wouldn't have moved so quickly. But we were both settled in life, felt we knew ourselves and our long term desires well and had had a few relationships to know what we wanted in a partner.

I met DH when I was 27, married at 29. We got engaged in just under a year, and had a baby 9 months later. Marriage came a year after that (2.5 years all in all from meeting to marriage).

We only got married this year so will have to see how it goes but we're still madly in love and expecting another baby next year!

Met when I was 34 and he was 26.
Married 4 yrs later.
3 kids - at 39, 40 and 44.

Met at 17 , married at 19 , divorced late 30s . That crazy young age astounds me now .

Was with ex husband for over 8 years we got together when I was 21 and we got married at 28 it lasted 6 months 🙄🤦🏼‍♀️

Met at 29, married at 31, just under two years. 19 years this year

Met in the local pub on Saturday. Writhin ten days we'd been on 7 dates.

I often joke we met and he never left! (My children were/are teens)

Second marriage

I was with Dh for exactly 6 years before we got married
Ds1 was 3 months old. Dh wanted to get married more than me. I'm so glad we did. We've been together 34 years now.

Met at 21, married at 26, kids 19-32, divorced at 52. No regrets, sometimes things just don’t work out 😊

Met at 17, married at 18. First child at 22. Still together in our 70s.

Met 23rd June 1977 age 23.
Engaged 23rd December 1977.
Married 23rd December 1978.
Still happily married 46 years this Christmas.

(And yes 23 is my lucky number!)

Married at 25, about to turn 26 (DH was 29). I’d known him since I was 19, but we’d only been together ‘officially’ for 2.5 years. Kids at 26 (quite heavily pregnant when we got married) and 28. Very happily married 6.5 years later.

Got with DH at 21 and married at 29

Met at 19, baby at 21, married at 26.
Still together 31 years later, and grandchildren are the best ❤️

Met at 21 (him 25), married 3 months later- we're Muslim and that's culturally normal for us :)

Been very happily married for many years and children later.

2 years and 4 years.

Met him at 32, was engaged at 33 and married at 34. We'd been together about 2 and a bit years when we married.

I was single for 5 years before I met him, after breaking things off with a partner I lived with, who spent 8 years with me to then he unsure if he wanted to marry me.

Decided I wasn't doing that again. Told now DH early when we were dating that I wouldn't live with someone again and give up my freedom unless I was engaged first. He got the message, proposed a few months later :) and we bought a house together 3 weeks before our wedding.

6 months to engagement about 18months after that married

Met at 22, married at 24. Still together 11 years later.

Met at 39, I married at 40, baby 1 at 41, baby 2 at 43.

Best friend at 18, boyfriend at 20, married at 23. Been together 40 years, married for 34.
