Deleted internet history

My boyfriend has a Samsung galaxy s21 phone he has been deleting history and maybe searching in private mode. How do I see the sites he's deleted from maybe cookies cause there is no internet history of any sites he's visited apart from things on Google like normal searches. He's deleted things in the past I'm quite sure he's still doing it

leave the poor man alone

Pretty hard when you've been in my situation and cheating has happened

OP - I wouldn't. It's very invasive to do that.
If you have a problem - ask him.

BamBamBambi · 29/06/2023 11:24

Leave him then….

Honestly, you are not doing yourself any favours by staying since you don’t trust him.

SpringleDingle · 29/06/2023 11:25

I wouldn't. If I can't trust him then I dump him..

AdviceNeeded22222 · 29/06/2023 11:25

He's probably just looking at porn!

So he’s cheated in the past (well you hope the pay)

And now he is deleting his browsing history

and you are sneakily checking his phone

not exactly Romeo and Juliet is it? Please say no children involved?

AdviceNeeded22222 · 29/06/2023 11:25

He's probably just looking at porn!

That's what he said but he said he's not going to hide it from me anymore as we are quite sexually open but there is nothing since I found out hence to why I think he's still deleting things could be dating sites also. Just unsure how a Samsung works and how to see the sites been visited via cookies.

OP posts:
NetballHoop · 29/06/2023 11:28

I have my browser set to automatically delete all history and cookies when I close it.

I'm not having an affair or looking at porn, I just don't see any benefit in having all my history there to be mined by the websites I visit.

wavingtreetops · 29/06/2023 11:30

You don’t trust him, with good cause from the sound of it.

You are at the stage of asking strangers how to check his phone usage. Your suspicion and anxiety is ever going to end. Your relationship is over. This is no way for you to live.

Break free and find someone else

OrlandointheWilderness · 29/06/2023 11:36

Has he cheated on you?
Is so, dump him.
If not, stop being controlling and going through his phone! Sometimes I search in private, because I don't want the stupid ads that come up connected to internet usage, and I delete history as I don't want endless pages cluttering up my phone. I've never cheated and never will!

DismantledKing · 29/06/2023 11:38

You’re coming over as a bit nuts here.

privatemum · 29/06/2023 11:39

So hard when the trust has been broken so early on cheating and now hiding things. I love him so much it's so hard to walk away when our relationship hasn't even had the best start only been a few months. We don't have any kids together. Just looking for some support or any advice on how to move passed this and build the trust again. Not looking for any horrible comments only just made this account this morning I suffer with depression aswell.

To work past this and build trust doesn't mean asking advice how to check up on his internet history browsing..... Either ask him and be honest with each other or move onto someone you both trust.

Lesssugarketchup · 29/06/2023 11:40

Only a few months and already cheated and you’re sneakily checking phone!!!

and you do not children together but you do have children, correct?

bambibrijwark · 29/06/2023 11:43

The horrible responses are completely unnecessary.

You're not nuts OP but you are probably experiencing the effects of trauma. That can make you seem nuts to anyone who hasn't experienced what you have experienced.

I don't know how Samsung works and with private browsing, there's no record left anyway.

I know it must feel like this is something you must do - to find the truth. Try not to. It will be hard so distract yourself. Focus on you.

Yeah hence to why I've been on the phone as that's where I found it all on Snapchat I'd be none the wiser if I hadn't checked.

Good grief op

a few months

and you are starting this thread on the back of your partner cheating

this sounds sordid and depressing

Thank you so much for understanding I am suffering and the anxiety is taking over it's so horrible. Happened so early on too like I forgive him then I find something else

I have a samsung and once things are deleted they are gone as far as I know. When I delete my browsing history it also deletes the cookies from websites I visit and this is why I have my phone to delete my browsing history every 24 hours as there are a few sites that I use and the cookies seem to have a negative effect on how easily they run.

Honestly though if there is no trues in the relationship I would give serious consideration to walking away.

Est1990 · 29/06/2023 12:00

You are not nuts but this is far away from looking like a long lasting and happy relationship.

You say it's only a been a few months together...he already cheated and you are already so insecure and desperate to check his phone.

I have no idea how to check if it has been deleted...but you would probably be better at ending this relationship and work on your mental health/self-esteem. Good luck🥰

Frequency · 29/06/2023 12:03

To answer your OP, you can't. Once it is deleted it is gone unless he part of an admin group that saves and monitors internet use eg workplaces or you are his ISP.

I'll also echo other posters. This is not healthy OP. If you can't get past the cheating you need to leave.

Redglitter · 29/06/2023 12:05

@purplecorkheart how do you set your phone to do that. I didnt know that was possible

elliesmummy19 · 29/06/2023 12:17

OP, it’s only been a few months and he’s already cheated and you’re having to live your life in this paranoid state. Is this how you want to live the rest of your life? You might love him but is this worth it? Does he even love you? Sorry to be harsh but you deserve better than this.

ThisIsACoolUserName · 29/06/2023 12:33

My DH deletes all of his Internet history on a regular basis. He's welcome to look at whatever he likes.
Similarly, I Google some WIERD shit sometimes myself, and would rather it wasn't on my search history - you know, in case I go missing one day and the police have to profile me, and decide I'm a total maniac not worthy of wasting police resources on.
Do you never do this OP?
