Why? I have never seen a forum communicate by the use of so many abbreviations.
I read some posts and do not have a clue what the heck is going on because of the use of abbreviations.
Is this a woke thing?

This should be in AIBU. 😑

The 'D' ones I find a bit frustrating - esp as generally the issues being written about are because the subject is often not especially 'dear'. Dear Mother being a nightmare, Dear Step Daughter being a cow etc.
After a while the brain just subs in the word but it's occasionally jarring with more complex stories with multiple relationships being discussed (as life often throws at us!) DM, DSD, DH, DS etc.

I've seen DHa today. What's that mean? Chemical element or typo?

That poster clarified it was a typo within the first page of replies. Considering she'd just found her her husband had been shagging someone else, I think she should get a bit of understanding, don't you?

I partake in numerous forums. I have never seen the use of initialism as applied in Mumsnet. Of course, LOL et al. is common but .....
This is not a complaint or meant to upset people. I am simply posting an observation. I find it bizarre that people type the whole of most words and not all words.

I mentioned "woke" deliberately because wokism is weird and I find the use of abbreviations to be weird when applied in common parlance.
NATO - OPECH - WHO - BBC - ITV - OK .. OK is OK from Olla Kala. But if I put ... JG??
I tasted the wine it was OK. I tasted the wine it was JG???

Put the wine down.

This forum is far from woke.

It's usually about women who have been treated like cunts.

If anything is irrational here, it's your pugnacious behaviour, Original Poster.

My PB is rational considering the MO some people adopt. Please == call me OP.

In that case I was rather hoping it was some sort of acid that would spill on the Not-DH's privates. I only read the heading. Horrid man.
