Mine was my partner came in from a night shift, made me a cup of tea, I asked about his night, it wasn't great. I made him a cup of tea and a hot water bottle cos our house is freezing at this time of morning. We got in bed and cuddled and he fell asleep. It was perfect.

That is real and shows true love ❤️

Kate8990 · 15/02/2023 00:32

Aw that's so cute ❤️

PeacefulPottering · 15/02/2023 00:43

It's loving your partner. Not roses, not chocolates, day in day out loving them . Its the lovely basics that actually most people do.

Aww, how lovely. Sometimes that's all you need.

My Valentine's Day was a message to each other on WhatsApp this morning and a quick phone call this evening as he's working away. He actually used a couple of heart ❤️ emojis on WhatsApp and he never does that!

PeacefulPottering · 15/02/2023 00:51

So lovely 🌹. Men get such a bad take. So many lovely men x

Aw OP, that's lovely and love.

I put a Jammy Dodger in my DH's lunch box and he brought home a Tunnock's teacake.
No drama. Just love.

LadyJ2023 · 15/02/2023 00:57

Our valentines day. Usual play with the babies x 3, hubby took day off tho. Then once they were in bed tonight he cooked me egg n chips which actually mean the world as he barely ever makes me anything then we cuddled on sofa and watched a film while our lil ones have actually been sleeping for once. Perfect for me

PeacefulPottering · 15/02/2023 00:58

I saw a quite a lot of young men and teenagers around today with flowers, and some in asda with heart sahped boxes of chocolates and flowers.Lovely.

violetcuriosity · 15/02/2023 02:20

I'm 39 weeks pregnant, woke up at 6:30 to a cup of tea on the side after he'd left for work. When he came home he had a bunch of flowers for me and a little one for our 7 year old DD (just Aldi), we got a chippy tea and watched the latest episode of the last of us. He bathed DD, put her to bed, and tidied up the kitchen, I made him a cup of tea and a brownie with cream and strawberries. Nothing major, just a low key, intimate evening 💖

PeacefulPottering · 15/02/2023 02:54

Love these low key love x
It's the new valentine show x
Lots of love to all you and your new way of showing 💕

This is so sweet

I've been with my lovely partner just over two years and he is the most thoughtful, kind man I've ever met. We don't live together but I spend weekends at his. It would take forever to write all the little ways he shows he loves me.
Today was beautiful....I'm currently laid low with a raging UTI....don't feel the best and certainly don't look it! He came round after work and I was lying in bed in a heap. He brought me a cuppa and we exchanged cards and wee silly gifts. Then he came round to the side of my bed....I wondered what he was doing.....then he said "It's a bit late to make an honest woman of you but I really would love it if you would marry me some day" And presented me with this beautiful ring. He said he hadn't planned to do it on Valentine's day as he thought that might be a bit too twee and soppy but he wanted to cheer me up and make me happy.
Btw.....we're both 63....never too old for a bit of romance! 😁❤

I got home from a night shift. Totally forgot it was Valentine's as it's our daughter's birthday. Got chance to sing to her before she went off to nursery. Spent all day in bed ready for this shift. Got up and husband had bought me a sandwich, he knew I'd be starving, and chocolates x

I spent all day yesterday painting our lounge in a Bid to get the house ready for us all to move back in to (we are at the end of having it rebuilt after a huge house fire last year). I hate painting and it's surprisingly physically hard work. I got home aching and fed up to find Dd and DSs had made me a banner to welcome me home and Dh had made dinner and run me a bath with candles around it. (I hate baths but it's the only thing for aches really, so he was trying to make me want to get in it more). We did cards and little presents for all the kids and each other. So it was a nice day in the end.

DoomedForLoneliness · 15/02/2023 08:40

I’m single, but my imaginary boyfriend brought me some quality chocolates and roses and expressed his undying love for me.
Then a dinner in front of a fireplace and a horror movie 😁
It was lovely!

This was mines too. It made me smile when I woke up. Simple things.

Dery · 15/02/2023 09:41

@JeanMarie - that’s lovely - congratulations. Also re your UTI - they are horrid - have you tried D-Mannose? - very effective of the UTI is E-coli related: www.sweetcures.co.uk/

ImJustMadAboutSaffron · 15/02/2023 09:44

I dumped my miserable moaning ex 17 months ago and yesterday he drove to my house and stuffed a valentine card through the letter box.

Jewelanemone · 15/02/2023 09:51

Married for 11 years, we exchanged cards. Mine from him wasn't even a Valentine card (it was actually a birthday card) but he bought it because he knew it would make me laugh.

I'm off work with a nasty stomach bug so no lovely meal. Before that, he made a special trip to Tesco to buy me some Sudocrem for my poor sore bottom. That's true love 🙂
