Oral/hand sex differences in circumcised/uncircumcised men

Thought I'd cut to the chase in the title!

I parted ways with my childhood sweetheart a while ago, and while other things had obviously "gone wrong" in the relationship, sex had not. We always clicked in bed, learned new tricks together, and I - and he - loved, ahem, me giving him head. And "hand jobs".

The thing is, he was circumcised. I am now getting close to contemplating the odd fling, and despite otherwise robust bedroom confidence, I'm nervous about what to do with an uncircumcised fella (well, specifically, a foreskin during oral/hand sex) - if indeed I need to do anything differently at all?

Blimey, can't believe I'm writing this.

Anyway, any experienced ladies willing to advise?!

Off out now - will check in again much later. Thanks.

I've never experienced circumcised willies so I wouldn't even have a clue what it looked like

suwoo · 04/02/2008 16:38

It is a bit different when they aren't circumcised, you can move the skin up and down instead of moving your hand up and down the shaft. Its the same movement, but the skin itself will move up and down. God, does that make any sense?

bossykate · 04/02/2008 16:39

sorry but boak at bj on uncircumcised.... emoticon

Broodymomma · 04/02/2008 16:41

I always thought your hand would just slip off a circumsised one!! Sorry but am loving this thread

DrRuth · 04/02/2008 16:47

well, a circumcised willy -it's just like skin if you see what i mean. so it's like rubbing his wrist iyswim. you need some lubrication and you have to move your hand up and down the shaft.

an uncircumcised willy has it's own built in lubricant so you can keep your hand still and just move the skin back and forth over the shaft.

the skin retracts when the willy is erect so a bj shouldn't be hugely different-you make sure it's pushed back AND CLEAN

NotQuiteCockney · 04/02/2008 17:20

bossykate, that's a rather unhelpful thing to say, isn't it? Not least as uncircumcised is the natural state of the beast.

Otherwise, as DrRuth says.

bossykate · 04/02/2008 18:21

oh sorry nqc. please direct me to "notquitecockney's posting standards, policy and procedures documentation" so that i can be sure that my posts always meet the helpfulness requirements contained therein.

Maidamess · 04/02/2008 18:23

lol bossykate.

FoghornLeghorn · 04/02/2008 18:26

Now now ladies !

Dr Ruth is right though

TurkeyLurkey · 04/02/2008 18:26

I'm with Bossykate - at least you can see exactly how clean a nob is before you go down on it if its circumsized. Who knows smeg what would be lurking beneath a foreskin??

themoon66 · 04/02/2008 18:34

Find myself nodding in agreement with Bossykate and turkeylurky.

1sue1 · 04/02/2008 19:03

Well I don't, I agree with NQC here. I mean come on, non circumcised is natural. Men can be dirty whether its intact or not, so surely its down to how clean the man is in himself.

NotQuiteCockney · 04/02/2008 19:09

I just think it's rude to say 'ewwww' about other people's sexual practices. It's pretty much like approaching someone eating their lunch and saying 'what is that? Ewww, how can you eat that?'

(To say 'I wouldn't do/eat/wear/shag X' is pretty reasonable. IMO.)

harpsichordcarrier · 04/02/2008 19:15

I have always been quite alarmed by the circumcised penis.
like getting in a car and finding they have moved all the pedals and knobs (?) around without you knowing.
I feel like I need to have a peek at the instruction book

NotQuiteCockney · 04/02/2008 19:29

Ah, see circumcised is fairly normal for men of my generation, from Canada. So it's what I grew up with, iyswim.

But I still think it's a bit strange, to go around lopping bits off.

DrRuth · 04/02/2008 20:35

Any penis is a lovely thing that can bring pleasure to both partners.
You could make washing the penis part of foreplay perhaps?

I think the op may have some problems on the dating scene if she is only willing to have relations with circumcised men. At one point on a first date do you ask if the foreskin is intact?

Those of you who express distate at the thought of the penis in it's natural state maybe it would be good to relax a little and embrace the diversity of the human body.

TurkeyLurkey · 04/02/2008 20:39

DrRuth - err I can't see anything from the OP stating she was only willing to date circumsised men.

DrRuth · 04/02/2008 20:41

i know that my dear.
It was a little joke to the people who were saying 'eeeeww'-i wondered if they thought she should have some interview technique!

scanner · 04/02/2008 20:41

I've had two h's, one with and one without and frankly from my point of view it's made no difference whatsoever.

policywonk · 04/02/2008 20:45

Yes, ditto scanner - I've had experience of both and it's never occurred to me to have a preference one way or the other.

ilovespring · 04/02/2008 20:49

Well, I would always prefer a circumcised one.

Cuter!

manchita · 04/02/2008 20:51

I have had many, many partners, both c and natural and it didn't matter at all.

manchita · 04/02/2008 20:52

Actually, in my years of experience I have never met a smelly or unhygenic one. I think most men take care of it lovingly

allgonebellyup · 04/02/2008 21:32

please dont speak of smegma whilst i am eating my peach melba yogurt..

bossykate · 04/02/2008 21:44

actually, i have almost no experience with uncircumcised ones so hey what do i know
