So I broke up with my boyfriend in the drink and had way too much to drink and put myself in an awful position. This guy was lovely telling me how beautiful I am and I enjoyed the attention but he was very forceful and I had to tell him no more then once and he wasn’t listening. He came back to mine and several times I told him to stop because he was so rough, rough to the point this morning blood squirted all over when I told him to stop because it hurt. I went to the toilet after and I had blood clots and lots of blood when I wiped, he had blood on him too. I really shouldn’t have had too much to drink, I can’t believe I put myself in this position.

OP posts:
Thisisworsethananticpated · 26/10/2022 14:03

Im going to go against the grain and say not report
convictions rates are so fucking terrible
and the process won’t be nice
this totally sucks

however you should get an emergency GUM clinic appt for both testing and some healing care

im sorry this happened
don’t even blame yourself
women should be able to have casual drink sex without a ducking visit to the Dr afterwards

look after yourself , heal and move forward lovely
really nasty incident

CurlyhairedAssassin · 26/10/2022 14:04

Sorry, OP, I'm a bit unclear about the details. So this wasn't the boyfriend you'd just broken up with but someone else you met in the pub? He raped you last night and then again this morning? Who are the guests who are in your house and were they also there last night?

FookinMamsnet · 26/10/2022 14:04

When you go to the hospital please take a friend with you for support. Someone to look after the kids when you are getting help. But more importantly to support you. This is not your fault. For you 💐

Seriously? Maybe because she wanted sex, because shock horror, women actually have their own sexuality and she didn’t expect him to turn out to be a violent thug.

OP, he’s a piece of shit, violent, pathetic rapist. I’m so sorry you went through that and reading these comments must be jarring. Please do get medical attention, that sounds really scary.

OurChristmasMiracle · 26/10/2022 14:06

I would advise a sexual Health clinic explain what has happened and I’m sure they will get you in to be seen or be able to get you the medical attention you need.

with regards to reporting this is your own decision to make and no one else’s.

you should only ever have to say NO once and they should immediately stop.

please be gentle with yourself.

Doowop1919 · 26/10/2022 14:07

I'm so sorry this happened to you. You did nothing wrong. Please go and get checked over.

W00p · 26/10/2022 14:10

Sending you strength OP. You have an entire thread of women who are standing with you.

RobertsRadio · 26/10/2022 14:10

As others have said, the most important thing at the moment is to get treated for your injuries, and get a full STD check and the MAP if you are not on any contraception. This was not your fault, but in future please don't put yourself in such a vulnerable position again. This isn't blaming you at all and we should all be safe from predatory men taking advantage of us, but the truth is we are not, so look after yourself from now on. Hope you get treated asap.

Yes it would be said in court because misogyny, do we need that here too, a place where OP needs support?

She obviously didn’t think he’d be so forceful he’d do this, not sure why you struggle to understand that, or are you such a misogynist you think some women want to be raped so brutally they can’t stop bleeding?

Don’t victim blame. Shame on you.

OP I hope you are ok and get some medical help. Please be kind to yourself and ignore idiots like above! It is not your fault; the only one at fault is him.

Holidayexpert · 26/10/2022 14:17

i never said she deserved to be raped. Stop with your bullshit, but as the mother of a young women I know for a fact that she would not voluntarily invite a ‘forceful’ man in to her private space.

Because we don't always make sensible decisions when we are drunk, I know I didn't when I was younger and it was pure luck I didn't end up in situations like the Op's.

Well don’t worry, I’m sure OP has ‘learnt her lesson’ now, and that’s obviously the most important factor here 🙄

If they said that then they'd only be making the point that she should have already known he was violent from the way he'd already behaved - which probably wouldn't be great for his case would it? Saying it's her fault because she should have known he was violent. Does that really make sense as an argument to you?

I'd suggest that in her drunken and upset state the OP could easily have misread the forcefulness for passion rather than violence. But looking back after the event realising what was actually happening.

Your victim blaming is grim.

It does sound like you’ve come on your period/didn’t finish it but that’s irrelevant.

You should not have invited a man that was already giving you red flags back to your home, especially with children around but again that id irrelevant.

What is relevant is the fact that you said ‘no’ and ‘stop’ several times - that is clear as day and there are no lines that could be blurred.

Who are your guests?
I assume they were at your house last night?

You need to tell one of them and ask that they come with you.
The quicker you get checked out the better.

No she probably doesn’t need AA, what she needs is support.

One drunken night does not make a full blown alcoholic.

The victim blaming on this thread is grim.

Make sure you get yourself checked out (and the morning after pill). 💐

Contemplatinglife · 26/10/2022 14:36
