Newish guy, I suspect he has ED and he only has sex in one position (missionary). My question is - would/does ED affect having sex in different sexual positions? I only ask I have never experienced this before with previous partners. Yes I should speak to him and I intend on doing so soon.

He also likes do put his hands around neck which I've read on here comes from watching porn (don't know if this is true or not).

Totally agree with @GreyCarpet I can see why PPs have latched on to the hand lightly on the neck thing as hands around the neck is a red flag in abusive relationships during fights/intimidation. But what @Blueskylightnight is describing isn't the same at all. As for the fact he didn't get consent first, well, I've always found sex is a go with the flow activity; both parties will try things and if they aren't well received (either by saying no or by physically moving their hand) you don't do them again. Sex workers may have a list of dos and don'ts up front, but that's never been my norm. Now, if OP had said she moved his hand from her neck and he immediately put it back, or if she'd told him she didn't like something and he ignored her that's an issue, but that's not what happened.

@Blueskylightnight regarding what's going on with this man, who knows. It could be that missionary is the only position that works for him, either physically or psychologically. The only way to find out is to ask him, hope that he gives you an honest answer, and go from there.

I once dated a guy who sometimes had a problem with ED . He found that Spooning and Doggy always got him aroused

I suppose It may just depend which position works best for their ED.
