I was wearing shorts... we had men in the house doing work and my husband asked me if I was changing into leggings??
He said they would be 'looking at my hole'
What the helllllllll!!

I didn't change and we haven't mentioned it.

@rnsaslkih

”hole” is just an Irish slant for bum. It’s not as offensive as it sounds. (If they’re Irish or using it that way)

Craftycorvid · 13/05/2022 11:58

My reply? ‘Pray tell me, husband, mine, how I wield such terrible power with my nether eye that it is visible through certain layers of fabric, yet invisible through others? Also, why the notion of my orifices being wildly compelling to all men is a) factual and b) my responsibility? Also c) did we hire workmen or a team of proctologists from the 19th century? Actually, did we accidentally hire Jacob Rees-Mogg’s anally fixated twin? If so, why?’

@Craftycorvid

I do think this is quite a serious subject, but your comment still made me laugh my head off Grin

Some men are creepy and it’s almost impossible to tell which ones they are. So I would honestly feel better a bit more covered.

your husband’s turn of phrase about “your hole” makes me wonder whether he is one of the creeps!

But some women don't care what men think about their choice of clothes. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Im not changing how I dress because some men are creepy. That's a downward spiral I'm just not entertaining.

TalkingCat · 13/05/2022 13:34

He sounds like a misogynist who sees you purely as a sexual thing and expects other men think the same as him. Quite frankly I would very offended at his attitude. It would say so much to me about how he sees women.

People are recognising that women can wear whatever they choose to wear without policing themselves to check whether it’s something their husband will approve of or whether they are likely to see other men while wearing it or not.

@TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross that literally isn’t what’s happened in this scenario at all. As for the rest of your post, I won’t even reply because you’re genuinely being dumb. My post never even indicated anything of the sort but here you are jumping to unnecessary conclusions…

You do realise that your reply to my post makes no sense, don’t you?

What literally isn’t what happened in what scenario? And what did your post never indicate anything of the sort about and what conclusions am I jumping to?

Got to love the irony that you’re the one dishing out the insults about intelligence levels though, I suppose.

Yuk but was he trying to be subtle meaning the shorts were far more revealing than you thought they were like see through or something?

‘Looking at your hole’ is SUBTLE????

  1. Your DH sounds like a knobhead.
  2. Your use of exclamation marks is very annoying.
