What do you take with you ?!
It’s a long time since I’ve stayed at a guys place. So what would you take with you ? Do you take pyjamas ?
It will definitely involve sex - which is great. But what do you wear in the morning if you haven’t packed anything ?
Any tips appreciated !

Can I just say have a wonderful time and that I am insanely jealous Grin

Oh hang on, I think I need to retract an earlier post, when we’re saying ‘pyjamas’ I was thinking shorts and cami type thing, defo not anything thermal or novelty or elderly.
Exactly my thoughts. When I said 'light dressing gown' I meant a silky, satin thing to wrap around you to get from the bed to loo first thing. Not some frumpy, granny gown!

I have numerous sets of these as my “sleepover” pyjamas. They are v well-received by my fella who has yet to see any of my myriad pairs of flannel / “real life” pjs in 6 months. I can’t sleep naked myself - it’s odd. Happy to be naked for most of the time - just not when we settle down to sleep..,

I have this type of thing too and also a silky kimono type dressing gown which packs light and is knee length so not grannyish.
EBearhug · 27/12/2021 18:26

Any medications you take.

BatshitCrazyWoman · 27/12/2021 18:35

Have a lovely time, OP.

I wouldn't bother with robes or PJs, not my thing. Quite happy with my body and will walk naked to the loo or whatever.

DivorcedAndDelighted · 27/12/2021 19:08

I keep a little toiletries bag ready to go, as there's not always a lot of notice when the fella and I are both child-free.
It contains:
Clean knickers and socks
Toothbrush
Facial wipes, the Brill and cheap sensitive skin ones from Superdrug that cost about a quid & work on waterproof mascara.
Sample size moisturiser
Mascara
Cream blusher (also does lips)

As with PP I wear a clean top so it can do next day as well.

Have fun!! It took me quite a while to get used to actually sleeping in the same bed as somebody new, but that was just a matter of practice Grin

Anonadviceinapickle · 27/12/2021 19:23

Jesus, how light do you lot travel? I look like I've brushed my hair with a toffee apple when I wake up. I take everything, hairdryer, straighteners, full make up, nice underwear, full change of clothes and definitely pyjamas!

I'd say take whatever you think you need and also come back with details on how it goes!

92miles · 27/12/2021 19:27

Definitely not PJs. Only wear them when you're ill!!

A chemise for the night and a robe for the morning for heaven's sake!

This set is stunning, just ordered for similar reasons Grin

@Fidgety31 please can we have an update! What did you take and what worked? What would you have taken but didn’t?

Jumpking · 01/01/2022 23:31

Oooh exciting! I've just recently had the same.

I took a rucksack with toiletries bag containing light make up, minitures for showering, deo, toothbrush, femfresh wipes.

Travel hairdryer + straighteners.

Clean top, knickers and socks.

Tiny little slip to wear for bed/the morning.

The slip has only been worn when we went to make coffee downstairs.

The shower/hair stuff hasn't been used during either stay, as we were otherwise occupied for so long, there was no time to shower before i had to leave.

My wobbly belly was forgotten about by me very quickly as he was clearly enjoying himself and enjoying me AND my wobbly belly. Hence I didn't bother putting on my slip whenever I popped to the loo.

Have a wonderful time.

ManchesterTartwithCustard · 01/01/2022 23:40

What to wear next morning? A big smile.

Philly1234 · 01/01/2022 23:51

Poopourri spray?

Glowingsnow · 02/01/2022 00:04

Reeling at some suggestions. Keep us updated op.

SophieKat1982 · 02/01/2022 00:06

The first time I stayed overnight at my boyfriends was last summer and I just took clean underwear, leggings and a T-shirt to wear to bed if necessary and/or to wear in the morning. I was just the same as you, didn’t wish to turn up with a large suitcase! Enjoy it. Smile

StarlightLady · 02/01/2022 08:43

I always find the worse thing in these circumstances is the bathroom thing the following morning. I’m comfortable walking to the bathroom naked, he’s seen it all by then, it’s needing a poo!

But back to basics! In my handbag l always carry a “Get Lucky Bag”, a discreet make up bag that contains a little make up, wipes, deodorant, body spray, condoms (never depend solely on the man, if he has them, that’s fine!), spare knix and Tampax. OK, maybe needing the latter isn’t quite so lucky.

Aside from that, it’s just like going anywhere else for a night. Maybe a lightweight silky dressing gown.

And it’s good to know what you might do the next day apart from a “bedroom encore”. I remember once going for a country walk on a chilly morning in a fairly revealing strappy little black dress. Appropriate the night before but so wrong for a hike.

Have a lovely time 💥.

Same! First night I spent with my now husband at his house it prob looked as if I was moving in as I wheeled my little cabin case up his path Grin. Although happy to walk to and from bed naked I had a robe for next day. Fresh clothes, underwear etc. Hairdryer, straighteners, products and a first aid kit! Christ knows what I thought I needed that for Grin
StarlightLady · 02/01/2022 08:58

@Beachgirl33 - A first aid kit is useful. You never know what might happen when you swing naked from the lampshade 😂! And men never have the basics.
