Misdee, DH is still in bed too, and I have been up since 6am, we should have gone out and shocked them when they finally surface!!!

zebra · 14/11/2004 09:51

poor u, I've been with dh 8 years & have only managed in last month 2 train him 2 let me have a lie-ins.

mieow · 14/11/2004 09:51

I am sure he could manage one day to get up with the girls

misdee · 14/11/2004 09:51

innit, we should get early morning gym session in and leave them with the kids.

yerah he could, but i have to ask for it, and then the kids come and wake me up anyway. not worth it as only ever get 1 extra hopur. think i'm hogging the bathroom tonight. hehe.

I am sorry if this upset you misdee but sometimes it feels that he "playing" on his illness, he could get up, and he could cope with the kids for a few hours, but instead you take them with you all the time. Go back to bed when he gets up and say that you don't want to be disturbed till x time! And he isn't allowed to let the girls disturb you, if he does, get a lock on the bedroom door

zebra · 14/11/2004 09:55

I think dh only gave in with me because I started to collapse into bed all afternoon some weekend days, he sort of got the idea that i must b really knackered or something, then.

mieow · 14/11/2004 09:55

I do realise he is very ill BTW

MrsBigD · 14/11/2004 09:57

good idea misdee - hog the bathroom, lock the door and put on the stereo...

DH tries giving me lie-ins BUT... dd (2.11) unfortunately can open the doors... 'mama, geeet uuuuuuuuup'...

Was lucky today though got a 'real lie in' until 0900! (as opposed to the usual 0600. Poor DH had to sit and watch Scooby Doo for the umteenth time with dd but it kept her quiet. Bless!

misdee · 14/11/2004 09:58

i feel he does too mieow. but dont say that to his mum. guess i'm also fed up with no-one asks me often how i am but he gets a lot of sympathy, stupid i know.

anything past 6.15 is a lie in for me....DH has gone to work today...so its me and the kids, boxes, tub of polyfilla and an untidy flat due for landlord inspection tomorrow I wish I could have a lie in too. You should go have a nice warm bath and relax a while if the kids will let you. My lot arent dressed yet....I don't care either!! I'm busy packing....(packing in my MN fix before I go offline when I move that is!!!! )

misdee · 14/11/2004 10:01

cant relax in the bath just yet, the kids will try and jump in with me.

no, its not stupid you have two geogeous girls and am pregnant with another baby, no wonder you are tired. I mean DD1 and DD2 are hardly sit down and watch tv and being quiet kids are they, They are very lively and it must get to you.
Your Dh seems to forget all that, I mean went to the concert mum and dad looked after DD2 and Sister looked after DD1, why couldn't he?? Couldn't work that one out!

Titania · 14/11/2004 10:02

MY DH is looking after the kids, he offered and said "your mum want to see the new Bridget Jones movie, why don't you take her and I'll look after the kids!!!!" will it be a problem with your DH?

misdee · 14/11/2004 10:08

no he'll look after them. it just i didnt like the 1st film so not sure about the 2nd. and he was pretty ill when we went to the concert, thats why he didnt go.

OP posts:
mieow · 14/11/2004 10:09

I know, but it feels that you are doing so much and you need a rest! I remember when you were pregnant with DD1 and you had to sleep in my bed when you came round as you were so tired then so I know you must feel it now

mieow · 14/11/2004 10:09

I know he couldn't go to the concert, That wasn't what I meant!
