I have an acquaintance who is approaching mid 40s and has mostly dated only 20 something year olds. He’s dated a few women in their 30s but claims he’s only ever really enjoyed sex once with a 21 year old. He was a virgin until his 30s.

This is pretty weird right?

Sounds like he's got some sort of issue. Is he emotionally immature?

Possibly unusual but not gross or weird. I would imagine he has some issues about women who have had sex with other men which will make finding a partner difficult. He may actually just not really enjoy it anyway and may find happiness with someone who feels similarly.

As long as they’re both consenting adults there’s nothing gross about it. There are lots of women that love older men, I’m one of them. That does not mean I’m gross, weird or a victim of a predator.

These women are 20+ and they're choosing to date him, so presumably they're fine with it. And that's all that matter really.

It's not clear if he only enjoyed sex once with the 21 year old just because he was 21, or if it was just coincidence that she was that age? It would be certainly be a bit weird if he's saying he can/can't enjoy sex with someone based on their age.

If yes, it’s probably some weird ”alfa-male” garbage.
Go check boards that are more m*le dominant.
A lot of them think women over 25 are used good etc.
And telling you how he scores young one’s (or so he says) could be some sort of power move (in his head) to show you how you are over the hill (you are not).

I’ve just remembered he has talked of being an alpha male and wanting a partner who follows his lead, and a younger woman being more amenable than older women who are less attractive and more stuck in their ways

That still doesn't mean it's definitely just an age obsession thing for him, although it does sound a bit like it.

What do you mean by he show's interest in you? As in a coming on to you, wanting to be more than friends?

Regardsless, he sounds like an arse, and someone that you don't like. You don't need people like this in your life, so why not distance yourself from him?

Who he’s had sex with doesn’t sound weird or gross. His overall attitude is gross (unfortunately not as weird as it should be).
