Good luck finding someone. jesskir they may just be treating it as a paperwork formality and not want anyone to know. Can the registrars suggest anyone to help.

I remember a thread a few years ago very similar to this.

I believe they got witnesses from MN and had a lovely day.

I know someone who had randoms for witnesses, they popped into the closest supermarket a couple of hours before and asked them to announce/request over the PA System so you could try that if you don't have any luck. I would love to help but am too far away. Best wished for the day

I've been a witness to a random wedding of strangers , I think it was on here they advertised . It was a great afternoon , I had a day off work with nothing planned so thought sod it

I would absolutely love to do this and live in Chester. Sadly I'll be in holiday in Scotland but I can think of many good reasons to do and it is a lovely idea.

Also I think the right person may not want paying, but it depends on their circumstances I can see.
