I'd know him for a number of years as he was my boss.
Circumstances changed for both of us, we got closer at work and eventually started seeing each other out of work.

I was 43, I used to work with him many years ago. He was writing a memoir and he was tracking down people he'd known over the years . I was one of them. We started writing / talking long distance. After 9 months of that I flew to see him, he met me at the airport, that was it. We've never been apart from that day 18 years ago. Married for 13 years.

Became mates on an internet forum, started mailing, and it grew from there. I was 46 and he was mid 50’s. Been married for 15 years now. Second marriage for both of us.

At work. Known each other a while. Both circumstances changed. Became closer friends. Very very slow burner. Ridiculously happy many years later. I was about 40.

I met my second husband in the pub, I was early 30's him late 30's. Sounds cheesy but it really was the whole eyes met across a crowded room situation!
