Hi, long time reader, started reading after a miscarriage and then got sucked into AIBU and chat etc.. never posted before though.

After being cheated on for most of last year and him finally admitting it this year, I have been reading relationship threads daily, it's weirdly helped! I'm finally building myself back up, making changes and putting my wheels in motion for 'take down' 😊
So I thought I would ask did you get "revenge" on someone who betrayed you?
I know not everyone gets revenge, thinks about it and even thinks its immature, wrong, waste of time etc... That's fine but please No judgement, if it's not for you that's fine, just read and run!

Im talking anything, no matter how tiny/silly!

that being said. Living well is the best revenge. My exhusband is living in a horrible little dump...smoking weed and unemployed. I met a lovely man. He raised my daughter as his own .. He has supported all my dreams...lifted me up when i was falling down.. OUR daughters children know him as their papa.. My ex... well. he has missed out on alot of things with my daughter...her wedding...her two wonderful kids. Been remarried 18 years now. To the best man on the planet. THAT is MY revenge.

Mintjulia · 22/07/2021 02:42

Not exactly revenge, but he's come back three times now to try to restart the relationship and been refused.

It doesn't feel exhilarating like revenge, I'm just puzzled that he thinks I would be that stupid.

@CrouchEndTiger12

My ex did all that for me. Humiliated themselves after he cheated and I didn't need need do anything.

I have to say, weedkiller in aftershave, damaging property, laxatives in food and drink...are these men worth a criminal record?!

That's the way I look at it. They aren't worth it.

OP you sound very childish and cheerleader laughing at all these stories and quoting and commenting on every one. Invest in some therapy.

I think it's a journalist.

@RookieRoo

CrouchEndTiger12 your name is literally used as a username on a show for people to post anonymous petty revenge reviews 😂 (unless you have a different origin) I thought you would live for the petty revenge.
Nope I'd just seen the episode and couldn't think of anything else to use as a username. Everything else I wanted to use was taken.

I also happen to know the difference between fiction and reality.

The thing is you're only harming yourselves. Never lose face or give anyone anything to say. Pride and dignity is the best way.

In ironing cunt into shirts and weed killer in aftershave and damaging property, you're just giving them the opportunity to say they're glad they cheated on you as you're clearly such a bitch anyway.

In trying to harm someone else you're just making yourselves look bad.

CrouchEndTiger12 · 22/07/2021 06:32

Also I'd never want to give the guy the satisfaction of knowing he got to me that badly.

I left and that was that and cut all contact. It was an old boyfriend and we had no children.

Years later I looked him up and when I saw what became of him with the one he left me for, it was most satisfying to see him having humiliated himself all on his own. Grin

Maltybiscuit · 22/07/2021 06:42

When I moved out of a cheating exes house I changed joint passwords on things like sky, the broadband, gas and electricity account etc, I changed them to James (not his real name) is a cheating cunt, tiny dick, oh and also put some king prawns in the curtain linings in the bedroom! Grin

RubyGoat · 22/07/2021 06:50

@KalvinPhillipsManBun I agree.

My ex-wife cheated on me twice. After separation she committed benefit fraud, the evidence of which she revealed to me in financial disclosure.
After much thought I reported it to the authorities, and committed myself to move on, forget, and be happy. But not forgive.

oreo2020 · 22/07/2021 09:38

Wasn't intentionally revenge, but...

Dumped my repeatedly deceitful ex last year. Started seeing someone else. Ex got relentless in trying to get me back.. and after some months I accepted him back (a mistake as I can never trust him). Never stopped seeing the other guy.. the other guy claimed he wanted a relationship but then hesitated while I dreamt he would ask me to be his and I could break of with my boyfriend for good. Never happened.
Still with my boyfriend (wrong) and still in touch with the other guy (more recently, just platonically).

I know it's all wrong and I need to cut of both and I cannot seem to so it's a mess.

The best revenge is moving on and a life lived well.

That's lovely, sounds like you've had a much better life without him x

@Likeaskyscraper, if he is obsessive about things like music CDs or DVDs, swap the contents. randomly so that he'll have to open each case to find the right CD/DVD.

Not illegal.

Bluntness100 · 22/07/2021 14:52

Isn’t the best revenge op to leave him?

It is and it feels amazing. Doesn't stop me having a little fun and enjoying a few petty things whilst we split though!

Living well is the best revenge but some old fashioned petty revenge works beautifully as a quick pick me up in the immediate aftermath. When I discovered my ex was cheating on me I gave all his Star Wars memorabilia to the Cats Protection charity shop. We are talking hundreds of things, some signed. Best bit? He hates cats!😂😂

I heard of one brilliant one! My friend collects rare and expensive vinyl and there was an advert for loads of it at an address. He went and the lady was selling her cheating husbands entire collection for pennies.

My friend tried to give her the proper value but she refused. It was pennies or nothing!
