He sent me a message asking if I was asleep?

I went to a party with him and some people from our social circle. I left early telling him I was too drunk and tired.

I woke up at 11am today and I noticed he had sent me a message at 7 am asking me if I was asleep.

I only answered him at 11am "Not anymore, how are you?"

He was just wondering if you were awake to either chat as he was still pissed and wanted company, or he thought you'd invite him round for some company or more. Quite a standard text and reply. (Yes you'd still be drunk at 11am
In those circumstances) it's not clear what you wanted from the post?

@LivingMyBestLife2020

I'm 27 thank you very much. Why are you being rude? What have Idone to you?

Just to understand why my guy would text so early in the morning knowing that I told him I was going to sleep.

Ah ok - refer back to the other points in my post then. Drunken chat or an invite wanted!

I think he's pretty shy too... he's only forward when he's drunk

Lalliella · 03/05/2021 19:06

Why are you going to parties? COVID!!!

Aprilx · 03/05/2021 19:07

Does it matter? If so, ask him but I don’t think there is anything to understand.

feel like i’m reading a thread written by a 5 year old or in another language.

what are you actually talking about or asking OP? if you’re dating the guy just ask him.

the epitome of first world problems this one

GNCQ · 03/05/2021 19:09

Kaay so you left the party at 6, he texted you at 7. He maybe wondered if you were still awake so he could ask you a general question about your wellbeing/sext you//come round?

But you were asleep so he didn't send you any unsolicited dick picks or barge into your bedroom.

So he's keen. That's all.

Are u ok Hun? How's your hangover day?

AlmostSummer21 · 03/05/2021 19:12

If he's so wonderful, just ask him. Radical I know.

ShirleyPhallus · 03/05/2021 19:13

I honestly don’t know why everyone is being rude, I have seen many many far more pointless / nonsensical threads which have serious responses!

Regularsizedrudy · 03/05/2021 19:14

Because he was drunk. What do you want the answer to be? Because he wanted declare his undying love and ask you to marry him?

JackieTheFart · 03/05/2021 19:20

Because if you only left the party at 6am it’s not outside the realms of possibility you’d still be awake at 7am and up for a) booty call b) phone sex.

Also you didn’t ‘leave early’ you mad bint! I’m so jealous I have been to an all nighter for several years.

Whhhaaaaat?

What’s the point of the thread op? A question? A worry?

Name99 · 03/05/2021 19:39

It's not really early is it if you left at 6am.
If you had left the night before and was in bed at 12 , 7am would be deemed early

Tambora · 03/05/2021 19:44

There's only one answer to that question, and it is: "Yes."

DIshedUp · 03/05/2021 19:45

Maybe he wanted to check you got home okay. Maybe he wanted a shag. Maybe he felt sad and fancied a chat. You'd only left an hour ago its hardly like he messaged you in the middle of the night
