We're not doing much of anything apart from getting food from our favourite indian restaurant on the evening and maybe watch a film if our DD goes to bed early enough Wine

In terms of gifts, we've bought eachother the same box of chocolates (Ferror Roche of course) and that's it Grin we don't need more crap we don't use round the house and we've just spent an ungodly amount on doing up the garden so I'm more than happy with the chocolate!

We're not the romantic type as you can see Grin

What are your plans?

Nothing. Too pregnant to be arsed going anywhere.

Will get him a card and maybe we'll watch a film together or something. Sex. Then sleep, if DC let us.

Flippyferloppy · 10/02/2021 08:31

We've ordered a nice meal and will open some champagne. I'm getting DH some perfume and chocolates. He'll probably get me flowers and a gift.
It's nice to break up the tedium a bit.

wishywashy6 · 10/02/2021 08:36

No idea. DP says he's 'sorting something' which probably means a takeaway and a film like we do every weekend at the moment 😆
Fine by me, there's not much else to do is there?!

I've got him some nice chocolates, I expect he'll get me some flowers or something

I'm single so I'll be having a sofa Sunday watching a box set I've been saving. Then I'll cook myself a nice roast and open a bottle of red, followed by a nice long bubble bath. Standard single Sunday... perfect. I have bought some heart pj's though so I'll wear them Smile

Theghostofchristmasarse · 10/02/2021 10:35

First valentine's since last year's when I'd separated from DH but we were still living together and had a very awkward evening with him trying to make plans and me really not wanting to be there...also first with new bf, of a few months but known him 11 years...he was with someone else last year and it wasn't going well either so it's amazing the difference a year makes...hes excited, we've said token silly gifts only, I bought him a silly lobster thing from the pound shop 😂 was reduced to 50p 😂
but I've also been working on a kind of retro cross stitch for a few months which will force myself to finish and frame for him..not sure if I'll even see him Sunday night, can't pin down exdh for having the kids, know I will Saturday though, so we've said steak, wine, fire going, definitely sex 😂😂 plus thank my lucky stars I'm not feeling uncomfortable and obliged to have sex with my ex, which was always lacklustre and boring, plus over very quick.. he always made a huge fuss of things like this, sending embarrassing huge bouquets of flowers to my work etc but the other 364 days of the year he wasn't so attentive...glad to have things simple and more honest. I've just discovered he's started dating online so that's my present for this year, delighted he's moving on, happy for him. Also have had suspicions for a few years that he's gay so he's still probably overcompensating...
So it'll be a much simpler affair, nice food, great conversation, loads of sex that I actually want to have...😀 usual weekend when I see him to be honest, it's still new and we are obsessed with each other 😂 it's lovely.
If I've got the kids here in the evening I'll treat myself to a bath and a bottle of wineonce they're asleep.

We don't plan anything usually, but we do surprise each other a lot. So going by all the past Valentines days, my DH will bring me flowers, gift and card, I've got a gift for him, we'll have some wine and get a nice takeaway once kids go to bed and I'm going to dress up sexy (hold ups, babydoll, heels etc) and we'll have some great sex. Let's hope we don't get disturbed too much by the children Grin

PussGirl · 10/02/2021 15:04

DP & I will have a nice meal - I'll cook & he'll chat & help.

We don't bother with cards & things.

My XH gave me a present & card every year & told me he loved me nearly every day - he was an abusive arse & words / gestures meant very little.

LadyWhistleUp · 11/02/2021 10:52

@abikeindividual

We've got each other a card. Getting a Chinese takeaway and will be having some drinks and snacks. I saw a couples trivia quiz for £2 in Asda so got that cause I love a quiz. That'll do for us! :)
@abikeindividual

Did you get that quiz this year? What is it - a game? A book? I looked but couldn't see it.

abikeindividual · 11/02/2021 11:36

@LadyWhistleUp it's a pack of cards, I've added a photo. Hopefully you can see it🤞

What are you doing this valentines day?
LadyWhistleUp · 11/02/2021 11:38

@abikeindividual. No ☹️

yesyoudoknowme · 11/02/2021 12:37

Nothing romantic, however I have my COVID jabGrinGrin on Sunday so well happy. After 25 years we've given up being taken in by commercialism Smile

Ah sorry! It's a red box, not much bigger than a box of cards. It says couples trivia game on it. Hope you can find it!

countdowntonap · 11/02/2021 14:28

There’s a hill nearby on a rarely used public footpath that we discovered on our lockdown walks. We’re waking up to there with a mini-champagne to stop with a watch the sunset before walking back and having lovely food, etc.

Nicolastuffedone · 11/02/2021 14:46

That sounds lovely!

Flyg · 11/02/2021 14:57

Im single and my new vibrator arrives on Saturday so i'll be trying that out Smile

LadyWhistleUp · 11/02/2021 15:04

It's there now. Thanks @abikeindividual

Will have another look.
