What are you doing this valentines day?

We're not doing much of anything apart from getting food from our favourite indian restaurant on the evening and maybe watch a film if our DD goes to bed early enough Wine

In terms of gifts, we've bought eachother the same box of chocolates (Ferror Roche of course) and that's it Grin we don't need more crap we don't use round the house and we've just spent an ungodly amount on doing up the garden so I'm more than happy with the chocolate!

We're not the romantic type as you can see Grin

What are your plans?

@Chimeraforce

I suppose we'll exchange cards and he'll go on about blow jobs
🤣🤣🤣🤣 I love how you've expressed no desire to follow up on what he's going on about
Floralnomad · 09/02/2021 15:53

We don’t do Valentine’s Day .

honeysuckle21 · 09/02/2021 15:56

Another single here but that doesn't stop me, I'm treating myself to a hotel chocolat candle and chocolates, better than the half dead flowers reluctantly given to me by a Valentine phobic man.

AdelaideK · 09/02/2021 16:25

I'm single so ill get myself a chocolate orange and some gin. That's just a normal Sunday night anyway though. Grin

updownroundandround · 09/02/2021 16:26

Probably building an igloo Shock

So much snow !

Eckhart · 09/02/2021 16:52

Being pleased that I don't need a partner, and looking forward to buying myself a middle sized mountain of heart shaped chocolate for 50p on the 15th.

stealthninjamum · 09/02/2021 17:17

We’ll probably be at my house having a takeaway. It won’t be romantic as my dc will also be home.

PinotPony · 09/02/2021 17:38

Lazy morning and breakfast in bed with DP. Long dog walk together. Snuggled on the sofa watching movies in front of a log fire.

He has to go home early evening so I've booked an online masturbation workshop! 😂

HomicidalPsychoJungleCat · 09/02/2021 17:59

Sitting in with my kids whilst my exH goes over to his new girlfriends for a sleepover. 😂

RedRocketGirl · 09/02/2021 18:05

@borntohula

If I can be bothered, I'm gonna bake some heart shaped biscuits with the dc because penis shaped cookie cutters are inappropriate, otherwise my plans are similar to yours. Excuse for a takeaway and a drink!
@borntohula Grin Grin Grin go on I dare you.... Wink
MsSquiz · 09/02/2021 18:08

We've ordered a takeaway for Saturday night from a local fancy restaurant to cook at home - which means we can work it around DD's bedtime.

I've bought DH a travel book, some chocolates & some shower gel.
DH has bought me trainers & probably chocolates.

Pretty much exactly what we would usually or DH would cook

Welshgal85 · 09/02/2021 18:10

We’re getting a takeaway and will have a few drinks. We don’t usually make a huge fuss, just get eachother a card and some chocolates or something. Looking forward to it, going to change out of my pjs for the occasion 😂

whitehat · 09/02/2021 18:15

Thanking god I'm single. First year away from XH and loving every second.

clpsmum · 09/02/2021 18:17

Naff all !

ILoveMyBernina · 09/02/2021 18:44

We have a shower around 5pm, jammies on and go to bed. Electric blanket on. Watch TV and enjoy M&S meal deal in bed.
We know how to live it up.

ErickBroch · 09/02/2021 19:13

Might dress up for dinner at home together - that's it Grin

Bearsbearsbears40 · 09/02/2021 19:18

It’s not really something we do, we’re ordering fancy takeaway, but that’s mostly to celebrate the end of a massively busy time I’ve had at work. I’ve also ordered us some nice chocolates online, I have bought a card. Probably continue watching Better Call Saul.

bettertimesarecomingnow · 09/02/2021 19:20

Takeaway from a really nice restaurant

I've got dp some massage oil, blindfold and a massage tool thing. So I guess nice dinner, wine and a romantic evening.

Hopefully will still be some snow so we could go a nice walk on the Sunday morning

pinkyboots1 · 09/02/2021 19:28

I've got him a lovely card and will cook a really nice breakfast, it's DD 16th Birthday so the focus will be mainly upon her.

SimonJT · 09/02/2021 20:13

My son is being babysat overnight on the Saturday, so we’ll celebrate a day early.

We have a posh takeaway booked, well it’s one that you finish off yourself. I’ve bought him a nice bottle of wine and a t-shirt, no idea what he has bought for me. We’ve picked a new puzzle to do, so we’re going to basically have nice food and an argument.

MaelyssQ · 09/02/2021 20:59

I'm in Wales and we do St Dwynwen's Day on the 25th of January. However, we were also doing Dry January so I think a bottle of bubbles will be opened on Feb 14th, and an argument a discussion over which Netflix series to finish watching.

Turnedouttoes · 09/02/2021 21:03

I have a slight tendency to go all out for these sorts of occasions Blush

We’ll get dressed up on Saturday night and have either a Waitrose or M&S dine in deal plus champagne. Then Sunday, I’ve bought DP waffle plates for our toastie maker so we’ll have waffles for breakfast. Then we’ve ordered pasta from Pasta Evangelists for dinner and I also plan to make chocolate covered strawberries and cupcakes.

The table will also have pink candles and various other decorations

Turnedouttoes · 09/02/2021 21:05

@PinotPony I think you need to expand on the online masturbation workshop Shock what does that entail??

MaLarkinn · 09/02/2021 21:09

Same as every other day here. He's a lovely partner so I'm not saying that like it's a bad thing Smile

SecretSpAD · 09/02/2021 21:15

The teenagers have decided that they are going to cook us dinner and we're going to spend the night in the holiday cottage (apparently the kids have cleaned it up but we'll see). It's our anniversary as well so a bit more than just Valentine's Day, but even before we married we always did something like a nice meal or day out to mark the day because why wouldn't you? This year it feels more important to have the small celebrations, the treat days. It means a lot to the kids to this for us and it means a lot to us that they are doing it for us.

We buy each other a gift too and give a card each. We love and appreciate each other every day, but why not celebrate the ome day a year when we can be unashamedly romantic?

Our son has a crush that he is planning to send a card and a bunch of flowers. He's 18 and really keen on her and all the signs are good - she's admitted to mutual, friends she likes him. . Our daughter has helped choose the flowers and card and we're all really excited about that as well. It's a bit of light in a dark year.
