My gut instinct is never wrong, trouble is I override it by thinking!

My gut instinct is almost always correct but I’m an idiot and never listen to it and always end up regretting it. As Alice in Wonderland says “I give myself very good advice but I very seldom follow it”.

What about gut instinct about something like someone coming back into your life?

My gut instinct is that my cheating ex will want to come back eventually. Not that I would take him back (some days I think I would), as me and the kids have moved on but I can't shake this feeling that he's going to come crawling back soon. And when I say no the kids will grow up blaming me 😔
